Race 1 - NW $6K L5 or $17K L10 AE: OPT CLM $20K GTD $50K Pick 5
(7) ODSS ON AMETHYST trounced similar last week and he looks good to repeat. When he's on his game, these rivals are no match. (4) JANGONE showed some interest on the last turn racing wide and gaining ground and she can close for a good share here. (8) ON THE SLY races off the fresh claim here and he may go a long way on the engine. (5) R FIRST CLASS is talented but quirky and he hasn't won a race in a long time. I'll use him underneath.
Race 2 - NW $10,000 L5 or $21,500 L10; AE: OPT CLM $30K
(8) MAJOR MUSCLE takes a big drop here and he should be tough to overhaul if he makes front leaving the gate. (3) KAMERAN HANOVER also faced easier and he should go much better here. (1) HEMI SEELSTER raced decently in the slop last week and he should be a pace threat, at least. (2) DUNBAR HALL is hard to toss completely racing at this level, but you can't take a short price the way he has been racing.
Race 3 - PREFERRED Trot
(3) MUSICAL RHYTHM goes for six straight here and it's unlikely any of these familiar opponents will stop him. (2) B YOYO seems most logical to complete the exacta starting from a good post. (1) CATCH THE DREAM should be rallying for a slice without threatening the winner. (4) FREE WILLY HANOVER is another who will likely be fighting for scraps behind the choice.
Race 4 - 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7,600 LT $50K GTD Pick 4
(4) POGEY BEACH has been kicking home quickly most races and I'll give him the slightest nod in a wide-open race. (5) BIG BULLY has had several chances, but he may not get a better opportunity than this one; using. (1) TIME ROLLS ON exits a fast race and he is definitely worth a look for multi-race tickets. (2) YARIS SEELSTER can take a slice if he improves a bit off his qualifier.
Race 5 - 4YO and Younger NW 2 (F&M 3) or $20K LT (F&M $25K)
(7) SOUTHWIND CASHA faces similar coming off a blowout win; call to repeat. (3) SHAMROCK SHAKER comes back quickly off a sharp effort on Thursday night; using. (8) ANGRY EYES is always dangerous using her good tactical speed. Toss her on Pick 4 and Pick 5 tickets. (1) ACE BI was a distant 4th to the choice. I'll use him on the bottom here.
Race 6 - NW $6K L5 or $17K L10 AE: OPT CLM $20K
(6) BANK GUARD trotted a 27 2/5 third frame to drop the hammer on his rivals and anything close to a repeat effort should land him another win. (1) MISTER MUSCLE is in solid form and he can sit a nice trip here; exacta factor. (7) SETANTA comes off a sharp win but he rarely doubles up; using underneath. (3) MUSICAL SPELL is another who can sit then close for a small slice.
Race 7 – CLM HDCP $8K to $10K
(5) GALAGHER SEELSTER was a strong winner in this class two starts back and he looks best here; top call. (8) OUTLAW GUNPOWDER wasn’t close enough to threaten the top two last week, but he’s always a threat at this level. (3) MATTS TUITION gets a notable driver switch here and that makes him worth a look for the exotics, at least. (7) CASIMIR OVERDRIVE was wildly overbet last week considering the barn change but he can close for another small slice here.
Race 8 – NW 7 (F&M9) or $120K LT (F&M $150K)
(4) DR SPENGLER raced well and kicked home fast in his return race. Now, it’s go time. (6) KADABRA QUEEN raced her eyeballs out uncovered on the rim when beating the choice and she is hard to leave out off that strong effort. (2) JUST FOR YOU fits this class well and she looks ready coming off the shelf; using. (1) YC BROADWAY is consistent, but the top three entice more for Pick 4 consideration.
Race 9 – NW $18K L5 or $28K L10
(6) ST JAMES GATE and (5) O NARUTAC PERFETTO will likely battle it out again and who ends up on the other’s cover may be the deciding factor. (4) WILD AND CRAZY GUY is in solid form and in a short field he is hard to toss; using. (3) CRUISING IN STYLE won in style last week, but these are much tougher, and he will need to find more late vs. some of these.
Race 10 – 4YO and Younger NW2 or $25,500 LT
(7) CAPTAIN NASH displayed both speed and talent last year and this isn’t the worst spot to make a sophomore debut; price play. (9) PRICELESS BEACH scored down lame at Flamboro, but he was sound enough to get the job done. Check him out on the racetrack. (6) SILAS SEELSTER is capable of better. Maybe he didn’t like the slop last time. (2) LIFETIME DELIGHT sat a perfect trip to beat lesser at Georgian. I’ll use him underneath here. (8) BEACH BABY BEE is capable of sneaking onto the High-5 at a price.
