Race 1
(1) BRANDON HANOVER chased a big chalk around the track last week and there's nothing in here that resembles that winner, so this gelding gets the nod in the opener. (7) DREAMFAIR CHARRO exits the same race and he should have a better chance here, too; using. (6) CANDID CAMERON ships in from Flamboro with a sharp win in tow and he could get a good trip up front here. He's the third one in here that I'll use in the Pick 5. (2) MC PAT looks good to follow and grab another slice.
Race 2
(6) BATTING STATS was aggressively driven, and he had no problem beating some overmatched rivals. These are tougher, but with a similar steer he may be able to give them the slip, too. (1) QUADRANGLE chose to ride the pylons and he finished with trot and no room. While he's a contender, that trip is likely to get overplayed and he will get overbet as a result. (2) STORMONT CHARLOTTE was game in defeat last week and she's not out of this. (3) SHIVERED can come on late for another share here.
Race 3
(7) DEWEYKEEPUMNWHY was double entered in this class and he absolutely jogged vs. similar Thursday night so he should be tough right back. (4) ESQUIRE was second to the choice and he comes back quick, too. He can be closer here with a different trip. (1) TALKIN TOOTSIE should improve on the class drop, but I'm not sure it will be enough for her to crack the exacta. (3) MISTER MUSCLE is capable of better and perhaps Lasix will help.
Race 4
(5) ER QUINN gets McClure back after getting hung the mile from post 9. Sharp improvement is likely here. (4) BADLANDS BADBOY took plenty of action in the same race, but he also got hung out. A much better trip and result is expected for him, too. (1) DARCEE N drops back down and he could trip out here starting from the inside; using. (2) KWICKY KWANZA is the fourth one I'll use in the multis here, mostly due to the barn change off the claim.
Race 5
(6) FLY BEYOND gets McClure here and I'll stick with him expecting a more aggressive steer. (5) ST JAMES GATE rallied well, now he gets a better post; using. (1) MAGIC NIGHT tripped out for a nice win and he could get another good trip here, so I'll use him in the Pick 4 and Pick 5. (2) DERF HANOVER was much better last week, but he needs to find more late.
Race 6
(2) DUNBAR HALL raced much better last week and with the move inside I'll give him the nod this week. (7) MUSICAL RHYTHM is hitting his best stride again and there was a time a couple of years ago that he dominated the trotting ranks here. (4) FREE WILLY HANOVER escaped late to get up for a win and while he's always in the mix, I see him taking a smaller share this time. (1) B YOYO couldn't get it done racing first up last week. Roy will probably look for a helmet here and he's not out of this.
Race 7
(2) PILLAGE AND BURN was flying late on Thursday night, but he simply ran out of track. I'll give him the nod here. (4) STOLEN ART was taken by Moreau when dropped into a claimer. He can move up sharply here. (7) SHADOW MARGEAUX was entered Friday night. If he goes here, he fits. (3) NEEDLECREST can come on late again for a share.
Race 8
(2) MEADOWBRANCH MEMO faces considerably easier here and he may roll by these in the lane. (4) ON THE SLY is a threat to wire these and I'll use him in this Pick 4. (6) OLE JACK MAGIC can contend if he gets put into the race. (3) ZEUS LIGHTNING should be placed near the front early which puts him in the exotics mix.
Race 9
(1) PINK PISTOL came late for a nice share last week, but the short field and the rail help her chances here; top call. (6) CATCH THE DREAM is another helped by the small field and he should be looming at the 3/4 pole. (3) O NARUTAC PERFETTO is another who will be in the flow who can win this with a bit of racing luck. (4) DONATO lane is one of seemingly few leavers in here and he should get a good trip up front and hang around for a good share.
Race 10
(9) CROCADILE CANYON has been on fire recently and he likely gets claimed here and sent on another speed mission. (4) CAPTAIN DRAGON faces easier here and he can improve sharply, perhaps at a square price. (5) CHEYENNE FORD has been no match for the choice recently, but he should hit the board again. (6) SECTIONLINE ROCK drops and he should enter contention here at some point of the mile. (7) LEVY TAYLORE beat the choice three starts back, but he enters an obscure barn off the claim here; your call.
