Race 1
(2) AREUKIDDINMECABBIE has been sharp for several weeks, but he's run into some tough colts. This spot is easier, and he can handle these. (5) SUPERSPORT was good in a quick mile at Flamboro on Thursday and he can contend here if he goes. (6) FIXED IDEA impressed in his debut and only slight improvement would make him a contender here. (1) ILL BE BACK was better last time and now he adds Lasix; consider for exotics.
Race 2
(4) QUADRANGLE was left outside on the first turn last week leaving him no choice but to drive on and push for the front. Despite being out a long way before clearing, he stayed dead game in defeat with the winner getting a much better trip. He should be tough here. (3) DONATO LANE appears to be coming back into form and I'll use him in this Pick 5. (2) MONOPOLY will likely be the first leader again, but a smaller share is likely for him. (5) STORMONT CHARLOTTE is worth a look for the exotics here starting from a better post.
Race 3
(6) JIMMY BE GOOD exits the Moreau barn on a high note and his closing brush has been devastating recently; call to repeat. (1) CROCADILE CANYON is the other fresh claim in the race coming off a super winning effort racing on the rim. This race could easily come down to these two in the lane. (5) DOVUTO HANOVER likely sets the pace again and he can get brave when given even a slight breather. (3) PRINCE GIOVANNI is as sharp as he gets and he's another contender to consider here.
Race 4
(2) JENKINS CREEK never really got involved last week, but post relief may be all he needs to get put into play here; top call. (1) CASIMIR OVERDRIVE goes for the Johnson barn here off the claim and he fits well vs. these; using. (3) ARAZI should be closing off a helmet this time so he can hit the ticket. (5) LIVELY FREDDIE is getting closer, but it seems as though another small share is in the cards for him here.
Race 5
(6) BAUTISTA was no match for the sharp and classy Cue Hall last week, but he should be tough here racing on the lead or out of the pocket. (1) BIG RICH was used up early in that same race. He can get a better trip here and contend at a price. (4) ST JAMES GATE has been sharp for several weeks and has been raced more aggressively. He's a contender here but may not get the trip he wants. (3) FLY BEYOND figures to be rolling late to take a slice vs. these.
Race 6
(3) MAGIC NIGHT took steady money at the windows again last week despite having the worst post and he never got involved at all. Making his third start back from a much better starting slot it should be go time now. (8) SEEYOU MEN has raced well in two straight starts here and it's only a matter of time before he pops; using. (6) MEADOWBRANCH MEMO is in solid form and his kickers are fast every week. I'll use him in this Pick 4. (1) HANKS TANK never misses the Super and this race should not be an exception.
Race 7
This is an interesting race with several horses changing hands. I'll side with (4) REIKI making his first start for the hot Gallucci barn. (1) CHEYENNE FORD goes to Moreau off a win and draws inside; using. (7) LEVY TAYLORE gets a notable barn switch and I can't leave him out. (5) SURF REPORT figures to come along and grab some scraps in the lane.
Race 8
(4) B YOYO produced a tremendous late burst last week to reach up right on the wire. He's the 'now' horse in this division and he'll take beating here. (6) CUE HALL steps up off a sharp win and he should show the way to the lane then stick around for a good share. (1) FREE WILLY HANOVER is like an equine ATM, right there every week. In the top class, I prefer to use him underneath, however. (5) DUNBAR HALL is obviously one of the best in here, but his recent gait issues are concerning for me.
Race 9
(8) SO NOT COOL was a sharp winner in this class two starts back and while he draws poorly here, he should have the class to overcome this post position disadvantage. (1) CATCH THE DREAM dominated some weaker rivals last week and this step up isn't a big one for him. He should be right there again. (6) HEMI SEELSTER set the table for the pocket-sitting favorite last week and he may have a similar trip here. (5) GREAT MAGIC makes a good living earning smaller shares; consider using on the bottom of Tris and Supers.
Race 10
(5) CINNABAR DRAGON gets to drop to the bottom after missing a check in four straight starts vs. better and this purse is his for the taking. (6) MAJOR LEGACY won last time he raced in this class. He's in with an upset chance. (8) VALIDUS DEO produced a strong performance on the engine last week despite getting nailed late. He's worth using here. (4) NEEDLECREST can pace some strong back halves and I'll use him underneath in this spot. (9) SINGLE WHITE SOCK drops off a solid try and he could better this placing with some racing luck.
