Race 1 – 4YO and Younger NW1 or $7,000 LT- **GTD $75,000 Pick 5**
(2) EMILY ANTOINETTE raced well last week but she was no match late for the 1 to 5 chalk. Returning quicker now should help; slight nod. (8) HETTIES MAGIC produced a good late kick to nail the choice for 2nd and although he has had many chances, he may do in this field. (7) MALCOLM G - with 9 slices in 18 starts - is a good one to use underneath. (9) UP AND TRENDING qualified well enough to win this, but from post 9, it's hard to predict what the intent will be for this filly that has experienced gait issues in the past; demand a price.
Race 2- F&M CLM HDCP $10,000 to $12,000
(6) LUCKY PLAYER gets Henry to drive racing off the claim and she can go right down the road here. (3) FRIENDS TO THE END comes in showing nothing but Exacta finishes on her card and while some of these are much tougher than London $8,500 claimers, she may be up to it. (1) HAMMERING HALEY raced okay off the Auciello claim last week and she is the third option to consider for this early Pick 5. (3) RUSTYS FLYING should sit a following trip and finish on the edges.
Race 3 – 5YO and Younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 (F&M $25,000) LT
(1) HP BRUXELLES raced well last week only to be picked off late by a sharp rival. The Baillargeon barn continues to run hot; top call. (4) TLF ROYAL LAKE was too far back last time but he closed well. It wouldn't be a shock if he bridged the gap on the choice here; using. (8) GOLDEN DYNAMITE finished just behind the choice last week and he'll be closing again but he may be too far back; using underneath. (9) CHARMBO PRINCE was always going to win last week but he draws outside and faces tougher here; small share predicted.
Race 4 – CLM HDCP $10,000 to $12,000 – PICK 4
(7) CASIMIR OVERDRIVE continues to race great and he showed grit last week to prevail now he goes for a new barn off the claim; a threepeat looms. (2) TOMY TERROR couldn't repel the choice late but that was another sharp try and he will win one soon. (1) LUCKSLST BLUEGRASS was used up early last time now he drops. He could wake up in this spot. (5) WINDSONG NAPOLEON couldn't convert a perfect trip last week and stave off the top two choices despite getting a clear run up the inside; small share predicted.
Race 5 – NW $11,500 L5 or $22,000 L10 or NW6LT or NW $75,000 LT AE:OPT CLM $30,000
(3) SPRING IN PARIS - a winner of close to 50% of her starts last year - makes her third start after breaking at Flamboro Downs and she gets Henry back to drive here. I'll take a stab on her at a price here in a wide-open race. (2) HOCKEY HANOVER is sharp and dangerous - especially if he can steal a breather. (4) PIKACHU HANOVER continues to race well and he should be heard from here despite missing three weeks. (7) WHITE TIGER looked a sure winner when shown racetrack in the stretch last week but the leader had something left. He can pass a few of these and take a share.
Race 6 – PEPSI TROTTING SERIES - FINAL - 3 & 4 YEAR OLD COLTS AND GELDINGS - Late Pick 5
The way the flow worked out last week, (2) STEUBEN HANOVER gave perfect cover to favorite (8) REFI. I don't think there is much between the two and the tables can turn here. (7) ZIG ZAG rarely misses the Exacta but he will need more speed here to go with the top two choices; using underneath. (3) BOO THANG raced okay for Henry last week now he gets his nose on the gate. Give him a price look.
Race 7 – CLM HDCP $20,000 to $25,000 - Pick 4
(1) EASY FLYER is so sharp right now that stepping up here might not matter; top call. (8) LONE WOLF TERROR looks like he is sitting on a big race if he behaves and if he gets a solid pace to chase he may pass them all. (2) LEADER TONIGHT should show more early speed here; consider for Trifecta bets. (6) P L IDAHO goes for Moreau here off the claim and he should be in the mix for a share.
Race 8 – NW $11,500 L5 or $22,000 L10 or NW 6LT or $75,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $30,000
(2) MEMO drops and he stands a great chance to pop vs. these. (4) ST JAMES GATE dug deep to hold off a rival that was full of trot late last week. He is dangerous here. (1) ZEUS LIGHTNING is in top form and while he can't be discounted here, I prefer to use him underneath. (10) MEADOWBRANCH MEMO should pass many of these late and land in the Tri or Super.
Race 9 – NW $20,000 L5 or $30,000 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $30,000
(4) ODDS ON AMETHYST lands in a good spot here and he should be raced more aggressively in this spot; slight nod. (7) HEY LIVVY is capable vs. these and she could add some value to the late multi-race tickets if she is ready to roll. (8) ROYAL WITCH goes for a hot barn here and she should be a square price from out there; using. (6) R FIRST CLASS is always around the money and he is hard to leave off Tri and Super tickets.
Race 10 – Horses who have raced for a purse less than $9,500 in one of last 4 starts
(10) SIN CITY BOOGIE was decent last week and he can improve making his second start for trainer Budd; top call. (2) A BOY NAMED SUUZZ could trip out again here and he is sharp. I'll use him in the late multi-race tickets. (4) SHADOW MOON is worth a look here as he stacks up well in this classification. (1) BIT OF LUCK fits well here and he should be in the mix again racing near the front. (3) NATIVES SWEETLOU comes off a sharp effort and he should work out a trip to secure at least a share here.
