Race 1 - F&M CLM HDCP $8,000 to $10,000 - **GTD $50,000 Pick 5**
(7) K J ALISON was the easiest of winners racing at this level and anything close to a repeat makes her tough to beat here. (9) E R RHONDA was held up on bad cover while the choice was driving off on the final turn. She can be closer with a better trip, but post 9 obviously is challenging. (2) KAHLUA MORNING brings some good form in from the ‘B’ tracks and she should contend for a share here. (5) MA REBELLE was third to the top two last week; consider using underneath.
Race 2- VALEDICTORY - 1ST LEG - 3 YEAR OLD COLTS & GELDINGS
(6) WINDSUN RICKY comes off a top effort - winning while racing first up from the 9-hole - and he will be tough to beat here starting from a better post. (3) LYONS PEGASUS couldn't go with the choice late but he has maintained his excellent form and he is the main danger. (8) FRIDAY NIGHT BLUES missed more than six weeks between starts now he returns much quicker. He's worth a look for the Tri and Super at a big price. (1) CONBOYVILLE hasn't missed the Exacta in nine 2019 starts but this is a big test. I'll use him underneath.
Race 3 - NW $3,000 L5 or $7,600 L10
(4) WIKI HANOVER raced well to finish second on Thursday night and the quick-back angle with a double-entered horse is one that continues to click at a high rate; top call. (6) HOCKEY HANOVER was game in defeat but he couldn't quite reach a sharp winner. He should be a big threat here. (1) TWOFOURROADIE finished with interest when third behind Hockey Hanover and he isn't impossible in this spot. (3) MAGIC NIGHT should contend for at least a slice here with the class drop; using underneath.
Race 4 - CLM HDCP $8,000 to $10,000 - **GTD $50,000 Pick 4**
(7) OUTLAW GUNPOWDER looked great winning last week and he has been known to string wins together; call to repeat. (8) BUDDA BLUE CHIP was good again last week, but the choice was too strong late in the mile - pacing a sharp final quarter on a track rated two seconds slow - and he should be right there again. (4) E L WILD SPIRIT set big fractions and still stayed for second. He should be the one to catch here. (6) MYBROTHERGEORGE will be flying late again for a share.
Race 5 - VALEDICTORY - 1ST LEG
(8) VIRGIN STORM exits several fast races at the Meadowlands and he seems to stack up well here; top call. (4) LEGION SEELSTER showed some serious late speed last time and he should be the one to fend off here. (5) MC PAT had a tightener for this vs. salty older foes last week. He could provide some exotics value here. (9) SILVER BEAST showed some ability earlier in the year but he may need one starting from the worst post here. Tab him for the next leg of the series.
Race 6 - CLM HDCP $12,000 to $15,000
Tough race with several chances: (1) BAROSSA BLUE GENES was beaten as chalk when reclaimed by trainer Auciello last week and his price should climb here so he could be a value play. (4) WOO SHARK is worth a long look racing off the claim and getting his nose on the gate again. (2) CROCADILE CANYON gets Filion here while making his second start off a break and he is in with an upset chance. (5) DARCEE N is always a good one to use on the bottom of Tris and Supers.
Race 7 - CLM HDCP $18,000 to $25,000 LT - Pick 4
There are several horses racing off the claim here and of those I'll side with (1) ZEN DA BALLYKEEL - who goes for conditioner Auciello who continues to strike at a very high right with fresh claims. (7) ALLSTAR SEELSTER gets away from white-hot Cheapskate Hanover and he can take these a long way on the lead. (6) STOLEN ART took lots of action at the windows last time and he raced tough to get the win. He's not out of this. (9) BROOKLETSJUSTIFIED is a good fit here on paper but post 9 can make it tough; using underneath.
Race 8 - CLM HDCP $15,000 TO $18,000 For NW $82,000 LT 1 3/8 Miles
None of these have any form at this extended distance so horses that get position near the front early could have the advantage. I'll give the nod to (5) GO RRRILLA who has been sharp for several weeks. (6) MCLEGEND comes back quicker here and he could wake up at a big price in his second start over the track. (2) NO TIME AT ALL didn't fire last time racing on a "good" track and he is another who could go much better here at a price. (3) MYSTIC MESSENGER has a good late kick on his best day; consider for the bottom of the exotics.
Race 9 - PREFERRED HANDICAP
(7) TOP EXPECTATIONS was a strong second behind a 1 to 9 chalk last week and she gets the nod with that rival now retired. (6) ON THE ROPES trotted a strong mile racing first-over and he should be the main threat here. (2) P L JILL is capable at this level when she brings her best race. She wouldn't be the worst play if she is let go as an overlay. (1) ODDS ON AMETHYST is another classy veteran who can come up with big efforts but I prefer to use him underneath in this spot.
Race 10 - NW $16,000 L5 or $32,500 L10 or NW $135,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $40,000
(8) SORTIE trotted a big mile on the rim last week and he should bring a square price in a race where he could get a great setup; top call. (4) B YOYO gets away from the tough Top Expectations here and he rates highly on paper but he does tend to be a "trip" horse. (3) BUZZ seems to race better on fast tracks so keep an eye on track condition when rating his chances. (1) OH SO PINE faces tougher here but he is sharp as a tack and he should be good for a share. (7) WILD AND CRAZY GUY also steps up off a win and he could be helped if the track is off here.
