Race 1 - 4YO and Younger NW2 (F&M3) or $20,000 (F&M$25,000) LT - **GTD $50,000 Pick 5**
(4) PRICELESS RULER gets away from the very hot Villefranche AS here and he has a good chance to notch his second win. (5) ARVIKA was very good in defeat to a tough winner last week in a fast race and there's every reason to think she will contend again here. (10) SPEEDY DUNCAN got a clean line in a decent effort and he retains McNair. There is some upset potential here. (6) TROTSKYIST should be passing rivals late again to take a slice.
Race 2- NW7 (F&M8) or $120,000 (F&M $150,000) LT
(6) VENUS DUHARAS has been dynamite since being take over by Team Young and I'll stick with her here in what should be a contentious dash. (5) MEMO just keeps winning but his price drops dramatically now. He's on my Pick 5 ticket. (3) GOLD EDITION looked good rallying late last week. He could roll by them all if the top two duel in the third quarter. (4) OH SO PINE fits better here. He should work his way into the Super.
Race 3 - F&M CLM HDCP $8,000 to $10,000
(9) E R RHONDA goes for Moreau off the claim following a good effort and post 9 should help keep the price acceptable; top call. (4) RUSTYS FLYING was flying in the lane last week and she gets her nose on the gate now and retains driver Filion; using. (2) DOCS SAUSALITO will be passing mares again here. I'll use her on the bottom of the Tri and Super. (6) SILVERHILL MISTY - fresh off a huge upset - should hit the ticket again in here.
Race 4 - CLM HDCP $8,000 to $10,000 - **GTD $50,000 Pick 4**
(4) HARD ROCK comes out of a very fast race for this class where he just missed, and he gets the nod here. (5) JDCYRIL also brings some sharp form into this race but he is stuck on one win in 2019; demand a price. (10) MCLEGEND raced okay one level higher and he should be closer early here. I'll use him in the exotics. (8) OAKROCK ELDORADO was in to go Friday night. He has the speed to contend vs. these if he comes back on two days rest.
Race 5 - NW $10,000 L5 or $20,000 L10 or NW1 2018-19 AE: OPT CLM $30,000
(1) SUPER SCHISSEL raced better last week and he endured a long trip. From a better post he looks solid here. (6) ST JAMES GATE bossed weaker, but he is in good form and he should be dangerous right back. (7) PERFETTO drops from the top class and while he obviously fits better, he will likely be overbet. (4) MEADOWBRANCH MEMO should produce a late rally that nets him a share.
Race 6 - CLM HDCP $15,000 to $18,000 for NW $85,000 LT
(6) ST LADS CASH comes right back after racing to a good third on Thursday night and he gets the nod. (9) YOUNG DRUNK PUNK was only a tick off his lifetime mark when rallying to win last week and while he was the beneficiary of a slowing late pace, he should contend again here. (10) LEADER TONIGHT was ready for a big try racing off the claim, but he may have gone too fast too soon. He is a viable contender here. (5) SPEED TO MARKET had an impossible trip last time hung out in a rapid opening 1/2. He can improve here.
Race 7 - NW $16,000 L5 or $28,000 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $40,000
(1) BUZZ gets his main driver back here and drops from the top call. He should get a good trip racing on or near the front; top call. (5) ROYAL WITCH is an obvious one to use coming off a sharp win. (6) R FIRST CLASS is in excellent form for one of the top trotting barns. He should take a slice. (7) HILL OF A COLT is another sharp contender who should be in the mix in a good betting race that has a few options.
Race 8 – CLM HDCP $18.000 to $25,000 – Pick 4
(1) JULERICA couldn’t fish out any cover last week but it turned out he didn’t need any and he paced away to a sharp win; call to repeat. (6) ALLSTAR SEELSTER left for position, took a seat then got shuffled. It’s not hard to project a better trip here moving from the worst post to one of the best ones. (8) BROOKLETSJUSTIFIED is popular at the claim box these days and he should be in the hunt from the outset here. (3) LEGAL BETTOR had a dream inside run but he couldn’t get close to the choice late. I’ll use him underneath again.
Race 9 – NW $26,000 L5 or $150,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $60,000
(5) ON THE ROPES gets a much better trip scenario here and his price should be boosted by his past two chart lines. He gets my nod here. (1) P L JILL will be heavily-backed based on her recent sharp efforts and she is an obvious threat but there is always some risk that she may run. (3) CAVILL HANOVER made two moves in a good try last week and he should contend for at least a share here. (4) ON A SUNNY DAY is always a threat at this level and she is another who could win this contentious dash with the right trip.
Race 10 – F&M CLM $15,000 for NW $65,000 LT
(3) P L LIGHTNING raced well off the claim by trainer Johnson and she should be trough in here facing similar. (7) AKITA BAYAMA puts herself in position every week and she projects to get another good trip racing near the front; using. (6) PATRICKS COOKIE was well-backed, and she made two moves before tiring. A slightly better trip puts her right there. (5) DREAM ALL NIGHT should rally late again to round out the Tri or Super.
Race 11 – NW $3,000 L5 or $7,000 L10
(10) PARKHILL NONSTOP was very good in this class two starts back and may have won if he didn’t get in so much traffic. He will have a good chance here if he can work out a cleaner trip. (2) SHES GOT PIZAZZ was never in position to threaten last week when she went off as the big chalk after dropping to this level. I expect a more aggressive steer tonight. (1) TOWFOURROADIE is one that is always capable of rolling by late under the right circumstances. I’ll use him in the late Pick 4. (3) ALEXUS EH should do better here cutting back from 1 3/8 miles. Giver her a look for use underneath. (4) STRENGTH OF A WOMAN has been facing some tough ones. She can work her way into the High-5 here.
