(2) MAJOR MUSCLE was solid last week but she couldn't reach a strong winner. She gets the nod here vs. a field she can beat. (1) SUPERLATIVE produced strong late speed, but she often gets too far back and post 1 may not help here; demand a price. (3) WILD AND CRAZY GUY should be closer early here and that gives him a decent shot vs. these. (6) KAMERAN HANOVER is capable but he needs a better trip than last week when he was first-over. This is a tricky race that demands Pick 5 coverage.
Race 2- CLM $12,000 TO $15,000
(3) MOSSIES ART powered up to win in the slop last week and he gets the call to repeat in another winnable spot. (6) BARN ONE also looks for a repeat and driver Young has been hot here in the last few weeks; using. (2) STELIOS should be in the mix early here and he could get the best trip racing near the front; using. (5) OCEANVIEW MAGNUM is a good one to use on the bottom of Tris and Supers.
Race 3 - PREFERRED
Mares look best here led by (6) EMOTICON HANOVER who comes off a signature win over Atlanta in the TVG Mares Trot. She should be tough to beat here. (5) TOP EXPECTATIONS is in solid form right now and she could make a race of it down the lane. (4) ON A SUNNY DAY has also hit her best stride recently and she should be in the hunt for at least a share here. (2) HEMI SEELSTER should be on the lead early but I don't see him lasting for more than a small share in this company.
Race 4 - F&M CLM HDCP $8,000 to $10,000 - **$50,000 GTD Pick 4**
(5) BENS JENNA was live last week but compromised by the wandering leader in early stretch. She gets the nod here. (9) E R RHONDA drifted far to the right in the lane, but she kept going on the lead. She changed barns off the claim so maybe that issue will be fixed for this race. (8) ALWAYS A ROSE should be prominent early and that gives her a shot in here; using. (3) MA REBELLE should be closing late for another slice in here.
Race 5 - CLM HDCP $15,000 to $18,000 for NW $75,000 LT
(2) GO RRRILLA made a couple of moves last week and came up short. Post improvement gives him a big shot vs. these. (1) SPEED TO MARKET was sharp last week - finishing ahead of the choice - and he should be coming late again; using. (8) NO TIME AT ALL comes back quicker here, and he should last longer if he makes front. He is another in with a chance. (7) SUPERSPORT should be leaving and he can sit a good trip near the front and take a small share.
Race 6 - CLM HDCP $18,000 to $25,000
(6) BROOKLETSJUSTIFIED drops back into a claimer where he should be tough. He looks best here. (8) KINGOFTHEJUNGLE had a tightener vs. tougher - and faster - horses now he comes up tagged where he can do some damage; beware. (7) LEGAL BETTOR raced well after stepping up to this class last week, but he was too far back to threaten the winner. A quicker start is likely here and that puts him in the picture. (3) STOLEN ART is worth a look for the exotics going for trainer Budd off the claim.
Race 7 - CLM HDCP $8,000 to $10,000 - Pick 4
(7) BUDDHA BLUE CHIP moved up sharply off the claim last time and notched an impressive win; call to repeat. (6) OUTLAW GUNPOWDER is always capable at this level and he should pose a threat here. (10) WOO SHARK is in solid form, but I prefer to use him underneath in this spot. (3) PERAPPS KNOT YETT can close for another share here - likely at a big price again.
Race 8 - NW $18,000 L5 or $28,000 L10 or NW $132,000 LT AE: $40,000 CLM
(2) ODDS ON AMETHYST has recaptured his best form in the past few weeks and he is capable here despite stepping up in class; top call. (4) BUZZ dropped and dominated, and he is another who shouldn't find this step up too tough. (8) P L JILL gets her nose back on the gate here and she's dangerous despite drawing outside; using. (6) CAVILL HANOVER has missed 6 weeks but his form is good and he's worth a look for the exotics.
Race 9 - NW $3,000 L5 or $9,000 L10 AE: NW1 in 2019
(2) IDEAL JET raced better last week but his trip was tough. This is a great spot for him, and I expect him to try to control the race on the front end. (7) THE REV was used up early in the same race. He is capable, especially if he can work out a pocket trip following the choice. (5) UP THE CREDIT is rounding into form after returning from a multi-year absence and he should be in the mix here. (1) MAGICAL ALBERT is a good one to use underneath in this spot.
Race 10 – NW $3,100 L5 or NW $7,000 L10
(5) ZEUS LIGHTNING was double-entered in this class and he trotted a big trip on the rim to finish 2nd here on Thursday. He will be tough in here if he goes. (9) HEAD TURNING JAG takes a multi-level class drop here and Henry is sure to activate him early. He is a Pick 4 must-use for me. (6) TWOFOURROADIE should be better here cutting back in distance and he can fly late when he gets good cover and clear sailing. (1) HOCKEY HANOVER and (7) BAUTISTA are two more that are cutting back here and last week, when they dropped to this level, they raced each other into submission. Consider both for the exotics and for wider Pick 4 tickets.
