Race 1
(7) JORDIES HOPE was bet down last week but took back and was in an impossible spot. In this shorter field, she projects to be closer early; top call. (5) CHICKIE LOVE was used up early when claimed. She should improve sharply here from a better post and going for the Shepherd barn. (2) NASTY RUMOUR hasn't won in a long time, but there's a good chance that the late pace will falter here which gives her a shot to end her winless skein. (4) HEATHER LOVES NY hung in there at Flamboro despite getting a brutal trip. She should be good for a share here.
Race 2
(4) MYSTERY BET comes up tagged here and he should wake up in this spot; slight nod. (5) ZEUS LIGHTNING takes the same drop and he finished ahead of the choice last time. This is a better spot for him. (7) PEPE DI JESOLO dropped and popped, and his good late speed puts him in the picture here despite the class rise. (2) ON THE SLY dug in late when passed by a win-shy type. He might find a couple of these too tough.
Race 3
(8) PARKHILL NONSTOP's three straight 1:55 miles stick out here and he rarely gets bet so you may get a decent price on him even with him getting class relief. (2) MYSTICAL MISSION was well clear when second last week and he will pass them all one of these weeks soon. (4) TIKI TAKA finds a good spot here and he is another contender to consider for Pick 5 tickets. (5) OLE JACK MAGIC didn't take a step forward last week, but the pace should be more to his liking in this class and he can grab a slice.
Race 4
(3) THINK AGAIN didn't have much punch racing first up last week, but that's not his trip and getting a better post should enable him to make front which is where he does his best work. (4) PRINCE GIOVANNI won well when claimed and he's at the top of his game right now; using. (8) CHEYENNE FORD steps up off the claim but he's always right there it seems and he's hard to toss. (5) LONE WOLF TERROR stopped badly last week, and he is almost sure to go favored again dropping in for a tag. I'll continue to play to beat him.
Race 5
(7) AREUKIDDINMECABBIE has simply looked like a new horse since returning from a 5 1/2-month break and a threepeat looms here. (5) R U TALKIN was soundly beaten by the choice in his debut but he likely needed that race and he returned and won easily. He should be closer here. (2) LYONS BEACHBOY should be able to sneak onto the ticket again here off a following trip. (3) ICONIC VELOCITY is worth a look for the exotics going for the O' Sullivan barn after shipping in.
Race 6
There's a good clash here between (5) HEY LIVVY and (3) DONATO LANE. The former moves to a better post for her attacking style and she gets the nod, although it makes sense to use both in the Pick 4. (2) STORMONT CHARLOTTE rode the pylons to a fast upset win last time, but I'm not sure she can get the same trip here. (4) ESQUIRE has some appeal as a bomb to use underneath here.
Race 7
(9) B YOYO aired last time he raced this low (on November 19th) and he should take beating here. (5) CUE HALL can improve sharply on the class drop and he's the other one that I'll use in Pick 4s. (6) FREE WILLY HANOVER also drops, but you'll notice he was no match for the choice in that November race. I'll use him underneath. (3) ODDS ON AMETHYST tripped out to win in a lower class last week. A smaller share is probably his ceiling here.
Race 8
(2) JENKINS CREEK had an impossible trip last week and with the move inside he might be able to turn the tables on (3) TOMY TERROR, but I'll use both in the late Pick 4. (6) ER QUINN sat a nice trip and got into the exacta last week, but he couldn't get past Tomy Terror. He can leave, sit and share again here. (4) MCSINNER MAN can wind up from the back and pass a few of these to get on the Tri or Super ticket.
Race 9
(3) HEAD TURNING JAG drops to a likely spot and Henry is sure to get more aggressive with him; top call. (9) MEADOWBRANCH MEMO comes from far back every week anyway, so the outer post shouldn't have much of an effect; exacta factor. (2) ST JAMES GATE was overbet last week, and he faltered first up. He can close for a slice here, however. (4) WILD AND CRAZY GUY couldn't seal the deal last week as he let a rival slide past on the inside. He should be a pace factor again, but, other are preferred to win.
Race 10
This is a good spot for (6) OUTLAW TURN N BURN to utilize his potent late kick; top call. (2) ALWAYS N THE MONEY raced tough from an outer post last time and he seems to fit this class well; using. (1) OLLIESTRIKESFAME can get a good trip here and he has some upset possibilities. (5) LUKE AND DUKE woke up last time and he can usually string a couple of good starts together when he gets good; using underneath. (8) HOMEY JOE should make at least the High-5 ticket here if he's within striking range turning for home.
