(9) E L WILD SPIRIT has been on fire since returning from a break and he’s the one to beat here again. (3) THINK AGAIN provided winning cover for the choice last time in a good effort racing off the Barrington claim. He could turn the tables here if trips are different. (7) FLAHERTY was used up early last time when claimed by Shepherd. He’s worth a look here picking up Roy to drive. (8) DASHIKI should be passing a few of these in the back 1/2; using underneath.
Race 2 – CLM HDCP $15,000 to $18,000 for NW $95,000 LT
(6) STELIOS goes for trainer Auciello off the claim and if there is a more potent angle in terms of win percentage at this track, I’m not sure what it is. (5) SPEED TO MARKET’s race two starts back vs. similar is good enough to put him right there vs. these. (7) ZEN DA BALLYKEEL has taken 15 slices in 36 starts and he is a good one to use underneath every week. (8) LEADER TONIGHT is capable of a better effort and getting tagged here should help; consider for the exotics.
Race 3 – F&M CLM HDCP $8,000 to $10,000
(4) HAMMERING HALEY has been a win machine at Flamboro and she lands in a good spot here shipping in to the big track; top call. (6) FINA PATINA made a nice late move last time at Flamboro and picking up Roy here won’t hurt; using. (3) FLUENTOCITY has hit the board in 33% of her starts this year and she should get a piece racing in this short field. (5) ALWAYS A ROSE was first-up against the choice last time. She can be closer here with a better trip.
Race 4 – F&M CLM $15,000 For NW $60,000 LT - **$50,000 GTD Pick 4**
(1) PAZZA HANOVER was a very easy winner last time she raced in this class. She figures to battle for the win with (5) MYSTIC SEELSTER here, who moved up off the Budd claim to win last week when racing vs. similar. (2) HIGHMOON SUNSHINE woke up when racing at this level two starts back and she’s not out of this. (7) AKITA BAYAMA comes in off a sharp Flamboro win but I see her as only a fringe player here.
Race 5 – CLM HDCP $12,000 to $15,000
(9) CHEAPSKATE HANOVER was dominant when racing at this level in September and October and dropping back down to this class should give him a big shot here. (5) ROYAL CANVAS has improving form as seen by his recent rapid kickers; using. (8) DARCEE N has finished third in more than 1/3 of his starts this year. He should be coming on late here to take a share. (3) YOUNG DRUNK PUNK is another closer to consider for a slice here.
Race 6 – HARVEST SERIES – 2ND LEG – ONTARIO SIRED 3YO FILLIES
(1) SALUTATION raced okay following a dominant winner here and this is an easier spot. She gets a slight nod in a tough race. (7) CASIMIR SWAMP GIRL also raced well in a race where one of the better fillies in this series won. I’ll use her in this Pick 4. (6) SOUTHWIND PRIMA has Roy in a type of race where he has been known to impose his will; beware. (2) CLEARLY BETTER can improve in this spot starting from the inside; consider for the exotics.
Race 7 – CLM HDCP $18,000 TO $25,000
(8) UPTOWN FUNK comes up tagged here for a barn that sends them ready off qualifiers and he gets class relief; too. I’ll take him for the upset over (5) ALLSTAR SEELSTER who continues to race tough every week. (2) BRANDON HANOVER – with four wins in the past six starts – is hard to leave out starting from a good post. (6) JAYDENS PLACE tripped out perfectly to win narrowly. I’ll let him beat me in this spot where he is unlikely to get the same trip.
Race 8 – HARVEST SERIES – 2ND LEG – ONTARIO SIRED 3YO FILLIES – Pick 4
(6) ESPRIT DEQUIPE has excelled racing over this track in her past two starts and she is the one to beat here again. (4) BETSEA raced well against the choice now she gets driver Macdonald back. Toss her in Pick 4 bets. (1) DRESS TO THE NINES couldn’t repel a very tough filly who was relentless racing first-over last week. She’s not out of this. (5) CAFE SOCIETY should be closing again for another slice here.
Race 9 – PREFERRED
(8) EMOTICON HANOVER raced great to nab second in the Breeders Crown last week and she is the one to beat here in a race where mares appear to have the upper hand. (7) ROYAL WITCH was sixth in the same race, but she wasn’t far behind the choice. She should contend here. (3) TOP EXPECTATIONS looks next best coming off a sharp win here last week. (2) FREE WILLY HANOVER has 19 slices in 38 starts. He’s always a good one to use underneath and he should get a good trip in this spot.
Race 10 – HARVEST SERIES – 2ND LEG – ONTARIO SIRED 3YO FILLIES
(3) FREE EXCHANGE was relentless racing uncovered on the rim last week and she should again be tough to beat. (6) LADY DRIVER won in faster time, but she enjoyed even fractions. Let’s see if she can hold off the choice in the lane here. (1) KICKIN COWGIRL was well-prepped for this series and she should be closing for a piece of this. (2) ACEFORTYFOUR PAT is in the mix each week and she should stick around for a share here.
Race 11 – NW $15,000 L5 or $28,000 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $40,000
(6) ON THE ROPES faces tougher shooting for a threepeat, but he keeps lowering his lifetime best mark and he could be up to it. (9) B YOYO was solid in defeat last time and he could be sitting on a big race here. A speed blast leaving the gate would not be a surprise. (2) MORALLY FLEXIBLE drops after missing a month between starts and sharp improvement is expected here. (3) KNIGHT ANGEL was visually impressive flying past the leaders very late in the mile last time. He’s on my late Pick 4 ticket despite facing better here. (7) R FIRST CLASS should be part of the early pace and he can stick around for a share.
