(8) CHICA had a bit of road trouble in the lane last week and she couldn't convert as chalk. Moving outside should help her price and I'll stick with her. (10) STORMONT RARE is capable of better and he may get involved earlier here leaving from the inside; using. (3) HP BRUXELLES handled maidens easily and this isn't the toughest NW2. She's another in with a decent chance here. (7) PRICELESS RULER has several races that put him in the picture vs. these, but with one win in 19 starts, I'd demand a price.
Race 2 - 4YO and Younger NW1 or $9,500 LT
(2) PROFOUND PARAGON has been showing the signs but keeps drawing poorly - until tonight. It's go time. (6) FLEETWOOD already won at this level three starts back and he should be right there vs. these. (1) MALCOLM G is still winless, but he comes in off a good try and he's not impossible in this spot although I do prefer to use him underneath. (5) HETTIES MAGIC is also a good one to use underneath in this spot.
Race 3 - CLM HDCP for $15,000 to $18,000 for NW $79,000 LT
(5) SPEED TO MARKET closed mildly Thursday night, a final 1/4 of 27 3/5 making it tough to bridge the gap. He should be tough here starting with his nose on the gate. (2) OUR ART AND HEAVEN was unlucky in defeat last week, picked off in the very last stride. He's a must-use for me here. (4) AREUKIDINME CABBIE was also right there in the same race and he has improving from now; consider. (3) ST LADS CASH is a good one to use on the bottom of Tris and Supers here.
Race 4 - NW $10,300 L5 or $20,000 L10 AE: OPT CLM $30,000 - **GTD $50,000 Pick 4**
(8) WILD AND CRAZY GUY dominated last time he was in this class and this is a good spot for him to resume his winning ways. (3) FLY BEYOND raced well considering he was out the route and he could do here but keep in mind he has been a long time between wins; demand a price. (5) WHITE TIGER will be closer early and that gives him a chance to take a slice here. (6) MARQUIS VOLO will be passing horses again in the back 1/2; consider using on the bottom of the Tri and Super.
Race 5 - CLM HDCP $20,000 to $25,000
(2) YOUNG DRUNK PUNK gets off the rail here and if he gets away from the gate a bit quicker, he can beat these. (9) JULERICA continues to hold his good form and he is hard to hold off if he is in range at the head of the lane. (8) CHEAPSKATE HANOVER is obvious on form, but he leaves the Auciello barn and at press time he was entered Saturday, too. Check those results before making a wagering decision if he indeed goes on two days rest. (4) LEGAL BETTOR is a good one to put on the bottom of Tri and Super bets.
Race 6 - CLM HDCP $10,000 TO $12,000 - Late Pick 5
(3) CASIMIR OVERDRIVE produced a strong late kick to win racing off the Moreau claim and he gets the call to repeat. (7) MOSSIES ART raced better last week, and he was more aggressive. A Drury speed blast might be coming here; beware. (4) REAL WICKED was right there on the wire with the choice but with one win in his past 42 starts he's hard to love on top. (5) DARCEE N will be closing late for a slice as is his custom in most of his races.
Race 7 - NW $10,000 L5 or $28,000 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $40,000
Tough race with several ways you can go. I'll land on (3) KADABRA QUEEN who sent a signal with a 27 2/5 kicker last week. (6) MEMO didn't have the best journey last week. He could sit a pocket trip racing behind expected early leader (8) HEMI SEELSTER - who is an all-or-nothing speedball who sometimes lasts and sometimes doesn't. (2) R FIRST CLASS gets away from Royal Witch here and that puts him in the mix.
Race 8 - 4YO and Younger NW2 or $18,000 LT
(9) BLU CREW was right there on the wire with the sharp Warrawee Vital last time and Roy may take the bull by the horns with an early speed blast here; top call. (1) RADLEY HANOVER is showing improvement with McNair driving and he could surprise here if he can get into range faster. (3) SUNSHINES FINEST continues to battle back from a serious injury and on his best day, he can take this group. (8) THISBEATGOESON is right there in every start on the B tracks and he can take a slice at a price here.
Race 9 - NW $29,000 L5 or $150,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $60,000
(1) ROYAL WITCH got hooked up in a destructive third 1/4 battle royal last week and it took its toll late. You don't often see those trips repeated and she can get back on track here. (7) ODDS ON AMETHYST was the beneficiary of that duel but when he gets good, he can string wins together; using. (6) ON THE ROPES was the other part of the duel with the choice. He should be in the hunt for a share here. (3) P L JILL was 2 to 5 in this class last time when she broke stride. She is almost impossible to predict at this point, but she is obviously capable; your call.
Race 10 - NW 7 (F&M8) or $120,000 LT (F&M $150,000)
(1) PIKACHU HANOVER has been dominant and barely broke a sweat winning last week. This is tougher but he should be up to it. (3) TRIX AND STONES also powered home to win last week and he should be the main danger here. (7) REFI was on fire before scratching sick and he did beat the choice last time he raced but he could be up against it now having missed some time. (2) JUMPSHOT figures to get a good trip here; consider for the exotics. (10) VENUS DUHARAS has raced tough for several weeks and she should be in the mix here.
