Race 1 – F&M CLM HDCP $8,000 to $10,000 - **$50,000 GTD Pick 5**
(2) E R RHONDA was second to a filly that won by a big margin now she faces mostly shippers in a race where she has a decent chance; slight nod in the opener. (6) ONE CHILLY NIGHT has improving form and she should be racing near the front throughout here; using. (7) LDL GEM has a great record this year and she faced tougher in some of her races out of town. Give her a Pick 5 look. (1) SMILE IN STYLE should get position early and contend for At least a slice here.
Race 2 – NW $15,000 L5 or $31,000 L10 or NW $120,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $30,000
(4) BIG RICH drops and he should get a good trip here racing near the front, top call. (1) KAMERAN HANOVER also drops and the short field should help him in this spot; using. (3) SUPERLATIVE was flying last time, but it was too late as the winner was long gone. She isn’t without a chance here. (2) HIGHLAND TOP HILL had little chance vs. the great Manchego. She should contend for a share here, but this isn’t an easy spot, either.
Race 3 – CLM HDCP $15,000 TO $18,000 for NW of $95,500 LT
(2) LEGAL BETTOR was a sharp winner Thursday night at an extended distance, and he gets the nod here on the quick return. (4) STELIOS is sharp and dangerous, and he could prove tough to catch in this spot; using. (1) LEADER TONIGHT comes off a game effort and he could be closer here if he can find a covered trip. (5) OCEANVIEW MAGNUM should pass a few of these late to take a share.
Race 4 – NW $6,000 L5 or $15,500 L* AE: OPT CLM $20,000 – **$50,000 GTD Pick 4**
Tough race with so many shippers. I’ll take a shot with (6) SICARIO, who is capable of a big speed try here. (7) R FIRST CLASS is an obvious contender on class, but he can be erratic, and he will likely be overbet; your call. (8) ZEUS LIGHTNING was a winner last time Roy drove and he returns here. Toss him in the Pick 5. (1) WHISKEY TAX should be good for a share leaving from the inside at this level.
Race 5 – F&M $15,000 CLM for NW $50,000 LT
(5) MISS KABANA produced a huge first-up effort to win last week and anything close to a repeat of that mile will make her very tough here. (2) PAZZA HANOVER failed as the big chalk in the same race but I could see her changing tactics here and making an earlier move. (9) HIGHMOON SUNSHINE is in solid form but the outer post could make things difficult here. I’ll use her on the bottom. (10) DREAMFAIR ZENFIRE should be passing a few of these late and the second-tier draw should be good for her in this spot.
Race 6 – CLM HDCP $12,000 TO $15,000
(5) ROYAL CANVAS was flying late after being held up for a long way. He will get a decent trip and win one week soon. I’ll give him a slight nod here over (7) CHEAPSKATE HANOVER who is the obvious one to beat being razor-sharp and racing off the Shepherd claim. (4) REAL WICKED was decent at this class last week. He can hit the board here. (1) SPEED TO MARKET failed to fire as the 7 to 5 choice. Maybe he will be better coming back in 7 days this time.
Race 7 – NW $3,700 L5 or $7,000 L10 – Pick 4
(6) LEGEND WITHIN qualified well enough on November 2nd at Flamboro to interest me in a wide-open race; slight nod. (4) OH SO PINE just missed vs. better in a 1 3/8 miles race. He should be right there vs. These. (9) OCEANVIEW DEB is an infrequent winner but I could see Roy blasting with her in this spot; price look. (5) SETANTA should be closing in the lane to land a spot in the Tri or Super.
Race 8 – CLM HDCP $18,000 TO $25,000
(5) ALLSTAR SEELSTER continues to race well every week in this class and he should prove hard to knock off again here. (3) STOLEN ART was much better last week, and he will be the one to fear late if there is any battling. (6) JAYDENS PLACE is a good one to use underneath as he is around the money every week it seems. (2) JULERICA was impressive here two starts back but that was in a lower class; consider using on the bottom here.
Race 9 – NW $26,500 L5 or $150,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $60,000
(2) DREAM TOGETHER was an easy winner in this class three starts back before taking Manchego on in the Breeders Crown. She should rebound here. (5) ON THE ROPES was out a long way before making front last week, but it didn’t matter, and this sharp horse can’t be left out of the late Pick 4. (7) ROYAL WITCH will contend here if she stays trotting this time. That break in stride was her first in a long time so perhaps it can be excused. (3) FREE WILLY HANOVER gives an honest effort every week and he should be in the mix again.
Race 10 – NW $3,000 L5 or $8,000 L10
(2) RUB OFTHE GREEN N is one of many returning quickly here and he makes his second start for trainer Budd after trying first up in an extended distance race Thursday night; top call here. (6) MIDWAY ISLAND drops, and he should get put into this race early; using. (8) LEAFS AND WINGS likely lost a win when a horse pulled late in front of him at London which left him 3rd-over with too much to do. He has blown up the tote board shipping in here before. I’ll throw him in the Pick 4. (10) INDIGO ART showed little the other night, but eh could trip out here starting from the second tier and hit the ticket. (9) LEVIS DAY is worth a look coming off a Flamboro Downs win Thursday.
