(2) RAMAS LAST SON took big action last week and he left hard then took a shuffle and finished evenly. He looks as good as any in a wide-open race to kick off the Pick 5. (6) ELYSIUM LINDY raced okay vs. tougher last time in a decent effort and he should get position early which gives him a chance here. (10) PINK PISTOL set big fractions then tired but that could set her up for a good try here and her price will be good with her leaving from the 10-hole. (7) ADVERSITY showed nothing last time, but he wasn’t that far back two starts ago when racing in this class.
Race 2 – F&M CLM $15.000 For NW $60,000 LT
(5) HIGHMOON SUNSHINE has the best and fastest recent race and she merits top call here, but she could get overbet, too. (2) SMILE IN STYLE makes her second start for Auciello here and she could improve sharply; using. (4) MYSTIC SEELSTER goes for trainer Budd here off the claim, a move that shouldn’t be taken lightly despite the mare rising in class. (7) MISS KABANA is capable of a big speed try but she seems more likely to finish on the edges here.
Race 3 – HARVEST SERIES – 1ST LEG – ONT SIRED 3YO FILLIES
(3) ESPRIT DEQUIPE tracked and overcame some swift splits last time and she gets the call to repeat here. (2) SHESONEHOTWRITER had a tightener for this and she picks up Henry to drive here. Expect an aggressive try. (5) CLEARLY BETTER exits some fast miles vs. some tough mares and she can’t be counted out here. (6) KICKIN COWGIRL is stuck on one win, but she rallied nicely last week, and she could be turning a corner now.
Race 4 – CLM HDCP $8,000 to $10,000 - *$50,000 GTD Pick 4*
(6) TOXICITY was a good second to a repeat winner in a fast race for this class and I see pilot Hudon putting him into this race earlier; top call. (3) NATES BUCKY adds Lasix for trainer Moreau here and he has enough speed to contend here. (2) CASIMIR LOW GEAR is capable of a big speed try here. Don’t sell him short. (4) UNPRECEDENTED has improving form and he should be in the mix here.
Race 5 – HARVEST SERIES – FINAL ONT SIRED 2YO FILLIES
(4) BEACH SPORTS was too far behind runaway leader (1) WIGGLE DELIGHT last time. The former gets a better post for the final of this series and it’s ‘go time’ now. The latter took the fastest mark in the field in that race and she must be respected here. (6) BETTER DAYS AHEAD was flying late last time and she could get a great setup here; using underneath. (10) SEX APPEAL is likely one of the best in here and her nice late kick may enable her to overcome this post and take a share.
Race 6 – HARVEST SERIES – FINAL ONT SIRED 2YO FILLIES
(3) GODDESS DE VIE gets a post advantage on many of her main rivals here and she gets the nod to close this series out. (9) PRINCESSPARTYPANTS is obviously fast enough to win this, but she will need to work out a trip from out there. (6) SUSIES LADY seems better when she saves her kick for the lane. A change of tactics is likely here and she should share. (1) GOLDEN GAVEL is another closer who is worth a look for the exotics at a price.
Race 7 – HARVEST SERIES – 1ST LEG – ONT SIRED 3YO FILLIES
(6) LADY DRIVER ships in and moves into Auciello’ s barn. Expect an aggressive try here. (8) CAFE SOCIETY’s recent form is sneaky good racing against elders. Give her a price look. (4) SPRINGBRIDGE SASSY has a similar profile and she should be coming on late. (2) ERIKAS SHADOW may get over bet here off her last couple of races. Her 1 for 30 record prompts me to use her underneath.
Race 8 – CLM HDCP $18,000 to $25,000
(4) ALLSTAR SEELSTER is unbeaten racing out of the Auciello barn and he should be tough here again. (3) STOLEN ART steps up coming off a threepeat, but he goes for a high percentage barn and he merits respect here. (2) CHEAPSKATE HANOVER raced okay behind the choice last time. He figures to finish underneath again. (5) JAYDENS PLACE raced well vs. the choice last time and he could better this placing if he can get a spot near the front again leaving the gate.
Race 9 – CLM HDCP $12,000 to $15,000 – Pick-4
(8) BAROSSA BLUE GENES is one of many that have won racing off the Auciello claim this year and he looks good to repeat here. (7) YOUNG DRUNK PUNK should be the main rival, but he often gets caught in traffic; your call. (6) WINDSONG NAPOLEON couldn’t stay with the choice last time. I’ll use him underneath only in this spot. (4) NEEDLECREST races better at this class level. Expect improvement.
Race 10 – HARVEST SERIES – 1ST LEG – ONT SIRED 3YO FILLIES
(8) FREE EXCHANGE has been absolutely flying home in recent starts and she beats these if she is within striking range at the head of the lane. (2) DRESS TO THE NINES is inconsistent but her best race puts her right there. (3) CASIMIR SWAMP GIRL dropped her time markedly in her first start at this track. She should be a threat here. (5) FARMGIRL TOUGH looked good winning Thursday night and she will enter contention here if she goes on the quick back.
Race 11 – NW $26,000 L5 or NW $150,000 LT AE: OPT CLM $60,000
(8) TOP EXPECTATIONS easily won a Preferred here three starts back before taking the best on the continent twice in a row. She should be very tough vs. these. (2) HEY LIVVY couldn’t go with Manchego but she fits here; using. (7) MORALLY FLEXIBLE can produce big speed and she is worth an exotics look here with Roy driving. (6) O SO EASY looked good winning last week here but these are tougher; using underneath.
Race 12 – 4YO and Younger NW2 or $26,000 LT
(1) EXCALIBER SEELSTER comes out of two fast races and Filion should be looking to race on the front vs. these; top call. (5) CASEYS DRAGON has sneaky good form and I’ll use him as a late Pick 4 price option. (9) THRILLING TIMES brings a win streak to town and goes for top connections. He is the third one that I’ll use in this Pick 4. (6) D GS SHALLWEDANCE has speed to get position early and he can stick around for a share. (3) GRAND POOBAH is another good one to use on the bottom of exotic wagers in this spot.
