Driver Tyler Borth won his 2,000th career race on Friday night at Woodbine Mohawk Park, and then, later on the card, driver Kyle Husted made his 1,000th appearance in the winner's circle. Mikki Sixx gave Borth his moment in the spotlight as she won a division of the Niagara Series by 7 1/2 lengths in 1:54 1/5 for trainer Susie Kerwood. The daughter of Always B Miki is owned by Frank Brundle and Ryan Bender. Borth also won another Niagara split with Oh A Legend, a sophomore by Bit Of A Legend N, in 1:54 2/5 for co-owner/trainer Christopher Bush and co-owner Bernie Klacer. The Amy Husted-trained 3-year-old is a Time To Roll filly, and she is owned by Husted Racing LLC., John Schwarz Jr., Wilson Rigg and Scott Rigg. In 2019 Husted had his career-high of 109 triumphs, and he's enjoying his best season in terms of earnings with over C$1.2 million.
