Garnet Barnsdale Analysis
(5) TRACEUR HANOVER is a big class-dropper in here and it's hard not to focus on him when constructing these tickets. I will use him 1-2 and try to get some prices surrounding him. (4) WESTERN EXPOSURE overcame some issues behind the gate to get a good spot behind the speed last week and he capitalized. If he behaves, I see a high placing for him here. (7) SPORTS COLUMN gets off the second tier and he should be leaving hard to get position. He is another good price horse (12/1 morning line) to use here. (10) SAMS CHAMP A is developing a lethal late kick and he steps up, which will help his price. (1) YACHT SEELSTER exits a wicked-fast mile and he can take a small share here starting from the inside. (2) PERSIMMON A didn't get clearance until late last week in a good effort and he is another that will be on most of my tickets.
The second, third and fourth morning-line choices all provide me with reasons to try to beat out of the top four here and create value under the likely big chalk. (3) FIXED IDEA will take lots of play dropping out of the Haughton, but he has missed close to six weeks and I'll play against him here. (9) POINTS NORTH is certainly capable, but the 9-hole is extra challenging when there are two trailers. Speaking of trailers, 9-2 second choice (11) BETTOR BE GOING is another play-against for me starting from the second tier.
.20 Ticket: 5 / 1,2,4,7,10 / 1,2,4,7,10 / 1,2,4,7,10 / ALL = $84
Derick Giwner Ticket
(5) TRACEUR HANOVER double-drops to the level of his last win. It is hard to picture him not being put in play early by Louis Philippe Roy. A strong effort is expected.
.20 Ticket: 5 / 3,7,9 / 1,3,7,9 / 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,9,11 / ALL = $75.60
Matt Rose Ticket
(5) TRACEUR HANOVER seems the most logical in here as he drops from the Preferred and lands a good mid-pack post but his lack of current form while overmatched in those races concerns me a bit. I’ll throw him in the second spot looking to get some value on top.
.20 Ticket: 4,7,9,10 / 5 / 4,7,9,10 / 4,7,9,10,11 / all = $50.20
Darin Zocalli Ticket
(7) SPORTS COLUMN went a bad trip last time but was solid two-back against similar and seems to fit well here.
.20 Ticket: 5,7 / 5,7,9 / 5,7,9,10,11 / 2,5,7,9,10,11 / ALL = $50.40
