The brooms were out Thursday evening for a pair of Harvest Series finals at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Kipper Whipr Snipr and Ron completed sweeps of the Harvest Series for Ontario 2-year-old colts and geldings, both scoring dominant victories in their respective finals.

The Rob Fellows-trained Kipper Whipr Snipr took command in the second quarter and never looked back, winning the $44,800 final for trotters by nearly six lengths in 1:56 4/5. Louis-Philippe Roy guided the son of Royalty For Life to his fifth win of the season. Ima Standup Guy rallied for second, while Cm Savewill Gl was third. The race fractions were 28 1/5, 57 4/5, and 1:26 3/5.

A homebred for Edward Wilson, Kipper Whipr Snipr has now earned C$145,483 in 11 starts. The gelding's rookie campaign included an Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Series victory on October 3 and a third-place finish in the OSS Super Final on October 16. A $2 win ticket on Kipper Whipr Snipr returned $3.20.

The James "Friday" Dean-trained Ron crushed his rivals by 5 1/2 lengths in the C$49,600 pacing final. Driver Phil Hudon put the son of Sportswriter on top, posting fractions of 27 2/5, 56, and 1:24 2/5 before scooting home in 28 2/5 for an easy 1:52 4/5 victory. St Lads Sterling grabbed the runner-up share, while Sports Advisor was third.

Owned by Wilma and James MacKenzie, Ron improved his rookie numbers to four wins and C$70,025 earned in 14 starts. The Sportswriter colt hasn't lost since breaking his maiden on October 14. Ron returned $3.50 for a $2 win ticket.

The Harvest Series was open to Ontario-sired 2-year-olds, who were non-winners of C$30,000 as of September 30, 2021.
