Woodbine Mohawk Park: Inaminute Hanover stuns favorites in Simcoe

In a game of catch-me-if-you-can, Inaminute Hanover wired a field of seven to post a 13-1 upset in the C$157,975 Simcoe Stakes for 3-year-old colt and gelding trotters on Saturday night at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
It was a key tidbit of information provided to driver Louis-Philippe Roy prior to the race that proved most valuable.
"Bob [McClure] told me before the race, 'if he's not involved it's hard to get his attention," said Roy in the Winbak Winner's Circle after his 3 1/4 length victory. "Being behind the car, on the gate, I think it's the best spot to get well positioned. After that, we just waited to see how the race would go. He just felt so strong that I was happy to let him do his job and have fun."
The newly paired combination was involved early and often, setting fractions of 27 1/5, 56, and 1:24 1/5 before trotting home in a lifetime mark 1:52 4/5 for owner Determination Stable.
