Woodbine Mohawk Park: Horses to watch from October 4 - October 9

Ken Walters|Oct 10, 2018

Thursday, October 4

OSIRIS BLUE CHIP (NW2) came wide through the lane from third over with strong finish and could get luckier in next.

WAR CRIMES (NW1FM) tucked early, came uncovered at 10-1, rallied gamely chasing the pacesetting second favorite.

ROSE RUN UNCLEBUCK (NW1) brushed and crushed as the odds-on favorite and can take another.

OKEANOS (OntSS) closed well but too late from 4th over and cannot be ignored.

FORBIDDEN TRADE (OntSS) was a handy winner rallying unfazed through and around breakers and should keep winning.

Friday, October 5

MAJESTIC MYSTIC (NW3000) rallied late closing best of all and should be a late threat in next.

TAKEYOURBREATHAWAY (NW3100FM) tipped in the final turn, rallied and won going away.

WINDSONGMAGNIFIQUE (NW18000FM) was buried to the lane, closed gamely between horses.

SUDDEN PASSING (NW18000FM) closed from 4th over and comes from barn that should find a spot for a winning outing.

Saturday, October 6

HEISMAN PLAYER (OntSS) rallied wide with strong move in the final turn, loomed headstretch but flattened out. A well time move would get him home in time.

PHYSICALLY INCLINED (NW11000) thought about a tuck at the quarter but decided to grind to the top, set the pace and drew away impressively.

POWERFUL CHRIS (OntSS) slipped out to the third panel, searched for room, found it late with good finish. Beaten favorite can atone in quick order.

ROCK THIS WAY (NW6700) came wide a long way and chased the pacesetter favorite to the wire while second best on the board and on the track.

Monday, October 8

SALUTATION (HARVEST) closed strong but late and cannot be ignored.

Tuesday, October 9

CHARMBRO BRIE (HARVEST) closed strongest coming uncovered the last quarter.

MISSION THREE (NW2) wired the field and should take another.

JUST JEWEL (NW2) was parked the mile, used hard and challenged a long way and tired at 23-1.

CAJON THOMAS (CLMHCP12/15000) caem wide, rallied gamely, had late aim but was nailed. Similar move wins most times.

VEYRON (NW11000) tucked to the quarter, tipped to the third panel second over, rallied strong and game but had a little too far to come.
