Woodbine Mohawk Park: Horses to watch from October 31 - November 4
?q=100)
Thursday, October 31
BETTOR BE EARLY (NW1) brushed early and crushed foes in quick time by open lengths.
GIVE ME A YANKEE (NW1/2YO) was parked, tucked, pulled uncovered to the third call, brushed and drew off like he was bet to do.
JGS PAL (NW2) trotter won for fun and has more fun coming his way.
MAJOR BANK (NW1) trotter flew home from the moon to win going away and should take another.
Friday, November 1
MENDING FENCES (NW2500FM) well-bet second choice tucked at the quarter, pulled, challenged, got stung but cleared. Faced immediate challenge from the favorite, dug in but was nailed on the wire.
COLD CEREEK ESPERO (NW15000/2-3YOFM) 2YO showed some good late speed in last and bears watching.
SILENT CROSSING (NW18000FM) set the pace under pressure a long way, shook it off but battled again in the lane but tired to be second to the tripped-out winner.
CAVIAR N CRACKERS (NW8200FM) won going away from second over and can take another.
STONEBRIDGE HALO (NW3FM) was the sole wire to wire winner on the card and would be no surprise.
Saturday, November 2
MYTHIC GAMBLER (COND) was wide and fast but a step too late in strong rally through the lane just missing the prohibitive pacesetting favorite.
MAGICAL AOINE (NW15000/2-3YO) finished full of pace between horses and at 16-1 in last and deserves a long look.
ERVIN HANOVER (NW28000) rushed up uncovered, took the lead and rolled away in a romp in fast mile.
MAGICAL ARTHUR (NW18000) was parked the mile, challenged to mid lane before giving way and some racing luck might be enough.
Monday, November 4
VILLEFRANCHE AS (NW22500) closed well from third over outkicking the favorite while chasing the well-bet second choice home and can get it done.
P P E (W3-5) saved to the final turn, tipped, wheeled wide and closed best of all to be second to the pacesetting favorite.
MACH IMPACT (CLMHCP14/18000) followed wide the final turn as the outer flow folded and was a solid second at the end.
COALITION HANOVER (CLMHCP14/18000) trailed to the lane, finished with good pace and was claimed. Would be no surprise.
SUGAR PIE HONEY (HARVEST) was buried on the rail, closed well between horses and should nail it all in next race or two.
