Woodbine Mohawk Park: Horses to watch from October 18 - October 22
Thursday, October 18
FOREVER FAV (HARVEST) finished strong but late in last and can make his presence felt in next.
ALL WRAPPED UP (HARVEST) was just that cruising down the road in last leg and will hard to deny.
COOL CLIFFORD (HARVEST) tucked early, brushed fast and crushed his foes easily.
WIKI HANOVER (NW2FM) was in some traffic in the final turn behind a fading foe, angled out and closed well. Do not overlook.
HAL N SAMMY (NW2) trailed weakly but made up some good ground the last 3/8 and might be ready to show some more.
Friday, October 19
TIKI TAKA (CLMHCP12/15000) left, got parked, tucked past the quarter, tipped between horses in the lane with fast finish and won going away. Got claimed and should be tough to beat in next.
TAKEYOURBREATHAWAY (NW5FM) saved to the lane, angled out, finished with a flourish and could get luckier in next race or two.
DEWEYKEEPEMNWHY (NW3000) followed the flow, lost cover, tucked by the lane, rallied gamely and got up for 2nd as the winner drew off.
REQUEST FOR PAROLE (NW26000FM) came uncovered chasing a quick last half and proved second best to the well-bet front-stepping favorite.
Saturday, October 20
KIWI FOCUS (NW7000FM) left well, yielded and was badly shuffled, sat buried to mid lane, angled away from traffic and finished well.
DAZZLING ROCKETTE (NW7000FM) finished strong and just missed from 4th over at 46-1 in last.
STATEMENT MADE A (NW5) beaten favorite finished best but had too far to come. Do not ignore in next.
ITS JUST TOO MUCH (NW5000) was parked the mile, gained cover, closed the gap by the stretch, rallied gamely, took a short lead at 79-1 but was nailed in the last steps.
GOTTALOVEMYSHADOW (NW3500FM) trailed to the third panel, followed wide to the lane, closed strongest to get up for second at 40-1 and can get it done with right trip.
Monday, October 22
CHEATALOTPOV (NW3) rallied wide the final turn, finished full of trot and was second best on the board and on the track.
CINDY LYNN (NWWFM) finished with good speed rallying between horses.
NOW WHAT HANOVER (CLMHCP18/25000) beaten favorite rallied gamely from second over but was nailed by fast-finishing second favorite.
CAJON THOMAS (CLMHCP12/15000) was moving pretty good between horses as the leader hit the wall but ran into late traffic.
