Woodbine Mohawk Park: Horses to watch from October 15 - October 19

Thursday, October 15
RIOT (CLM15000) sat at the rear to the lane, went wide with big finish passing all but one and earns a long look in next.
SPORTSNEST (CLM15000) sat on the rail, rallied between horses at 40-1 but faltered nearing the wire. Should find a better spot soon enough.
E L WILD SPIRIT (CLMHCP10/12000) was gapping good cover the final turn but kept coming in the lane to earn a dead heat. Got claimed and should do well in next.
CORTEZ THE KILLER (CLMHCP10/12000) rallied wide the final turn and closed in gamely but flattened a bit.
Friday, October 16
THE BANDIT QUEEN (NW5FM) got blindswitched heading home and slipped clear late finishing with good rally. Beaten favorite can atone in next.
CROSSFIT MOUSE (NW3) left to the top, yielded and was shuffled. Tipped in the lane finished fast to nail it. Can do it again.
PARISIAN BLUE CHIP (PRF/HCPFM) tucked to the quarter, got shuffled back, found clearance late and closed well. Maybe next time she will get earlier clearance.
THIS DRAGON ROCKS (NW12000FM) angled out, slipped wide and finished with strong pace but had too far to come once she found a route.
Saturday, October 17
ROYAL RENEGADE (NW11000) closead with good energy from third over and should be considered in next race or two.
HAIL CHRISTIAN N (NW19000) sat to the rear, came wide into the lane and closed best of all but had too far to come.
EXIT SMILING (NW9000) was a distant 4th over to the lane, rallied strongly and passed a few but it was too much to ask.
ROCKME ROLLME (PRFHCP) was parked second over and closed well but was nipped late. Beaten favorite can atone in next.
Monday, October 19
DANCER HALL (NW12000) yielded twice, sat poket and was game to the end to earn second place.
STEUBEN HANOVER (NW12000) was parked the mile with cover, rallied late and bears watching.
CLIFFHANGER (NW3000) was used to the lead, met pressure coming to the half, put away the challenger by the third panel but met a second challenge almost immediately and just refused to give it up.
FILTER HANOVER (NW2FM) rushed home from nowhere to nail it in the last step passing all foes. It was a night very favorable for pacesetters and this winner should be noted.
