Woodbine Mohawk Park: Horses to watch from Oct. 27 - Oct. 31

Thursday, October 27
BARONESS HILL (NW1) the $260,000 yearling purchase scored in her racing debut at 18-1 and the 2yo should score some more.
BIG ACE (CLM15/18000) sat last, rallied fast but too late. Well-bet second choice earns a long look in next outing.
SAINT ANTOINE (NW2) beaten favorite tucked early, sat to the lane in the three-hole, angled and cleared late but just missed.
SHES GOT PIZAZZ (NW2800) winning favorite wired the field on a night when front-end speed was tiring and could take another.
YARM (CLM15000) well-bet second choice was stung early getting parked to the lead, set a pressed pace and was nailed late by the pocket-sitting favorite.
Friday, October 28
FULL DISCLOSURE (NW2) left to the lead at 70-1, yielded to the even-money favorite and was second best at every call.
PROFUNDO (NW1) was buried to the lane, found room inside, rallied and finished full of pace at 10-1 and earned the second-place finish.
INTOTHEMYSTICMOON (NW12000FM) rallied gamely from second over but ran out of track.
CONTROL THE SMILE (NW1) rushed up uncovered, challenged the odds-on pacesetter and tired. A better-timed move may be all it takes.
Saturday, October 29
QUAN BLUE CHIP (NW7800) after a too-late rush to get in the photo he should be primed to finally get it done.
WOODMERE STEALDEAL (PRF2) rallied the final turn, challenged at 28-1 and dug in gamely while tiring and could be the one if a bit tighter in next.
THATLL BE SPORTY (NW2900) blew by the field in huge stretch rally from 4th over and should be the one to fear in next.
HAIL CHRISTIAN (NW7800) was parked to the lead, set a good clip and got nailed in last step. Lukewarm beaten favorite will give it another try with better post.
Monday, October 31
ALWAYS A HOTSHOT (CLMHCP15/20000) was the only wire to wire winner on the foggiest of racing nights and earns respect for that alone.
RESOLUTE BAY (W3-6) won sixth straight and has to be taken seriously again.
HOWYOUPLAY THEGAME (NW2) flashed some solid late speed and deserves a long look in next.
BETTOR NOTBITTER (CLMHCP8/12000) came out of the fog with strong finish to get third-place money.
