SHARE THE MOMENT (CLMHCP8/11000FM) beaten favorite was in the pocket throughout and had traffic problems in the lane losing to the second favorite pacesetter. Got claimed and should come out firing for new connections.
SUPERGIRL MOLLY (NW2FM) was third over the final turn, finished full of trot and just missed.
OUT OF ICE (POPUP) beaten favorite just missed from off the pace losing by a head and should score in next.
CARSONBUCKNGO (CLM20000) was parked the mile, rallied late and can get luckier in next.
EVANS LEGACY (HARVEST) trailed, finished best of all and missed the top prize by a half length and will be heard from in next race or two.
ROAD PROMISES (NW2FM) finished 6th but was in traffic and seemed to have more to give. Keep in your figures.
Friday, October 24
COCCO PUFF POWER (NW1000FM) was parked a long way to the lead, tired and gave way. Should be tighter in next and can get it done facing similar.
I BETYOUAKISS (NW2FM) left well, yielded and was shuffled, slipped out in the lane and just missed by a nose.
P L ROBERT G (NW6000) sat in, rallied late weaving through traffic and just missed in the photo.
BEAU JANGLES (BrCrwn) was parked to the half, gained the lead, met last-quarter pressure, dug in like the champion he is to remain perfect and set a new stakes and track and Canadian record to rack up his 12th straight victory.
AL PAPI (BrCrwn) was second best at the end to get the biggest paycheck of the four from the Burke barn.
LOUA DIPA (BrCrwn) brushed early and was much the best to head the Burke barn triple as his barn finished 1-2-3 in the race. In the process she set a new stakes record and tied the track and Canadian record.
SANTAFES APPETITE (NW2500FM) trail, showed late life and should not be overlooked.
Saturday, October 25
NELSONBRITEAGLE NO (BrCrwn) rallied well between horses at 25-1 to just miss the leader but was outkicked by her favored late-closing stablemate.
ALWAYS B NAUGHTY (BrCrwn) wired the field winning by widening lengths.
STORMONT BEAUTIFUL (BrCrwn) saved while buried to the lane, slipped out, tipped wide, finished with a full head of steam to be second best to the pacesetting favorite.
MIKI AND MINNIE (BrCrwn) was parked a long way to the lead, tired but gutted out the head heat. Half-beaten favorite atones in quick order.
BEYOND BETTER (NW9250) finished full of pace from an impossible 4th over spot and earns a long look in next.
FORTIFY (NW9250) was parked the mile, grinded to the third call, stepped it up, challenged, had aim but tired. Better trip, better result?
CAPTAIN FEAR NOT (NW9250) was buried on the rail in the large field to the final turn, slipped out, went wide and finished with a flourish and also has to be considered in next race or two. In fact, most of the horses in this race deserve a long look in near future.
Monday, October 27
LAMBORGHININ LOU (NW6000) came fast through the lane to win going away and can take another.
WHAT ABOUT ELMO (NW12000) went down the road over a tiring track and was nailed on the wire by the pocket-sitting winner. Beaten favorite can atone in next.
BELLA CAVALLA (NW9000) sat the pocket to the final turn, tipped and was in the photo but third. Got claimed and would be no surprise.
BOLD SPIRIT (CLMHCP30/40000) well-bet second choice was parked to the lead, went down the road over a tiring track but was second best to the late-closing favorite. Got claimed and should put it all on the line again.
WILLYS HOME RUN (NW6600) rushed to the top, rolled along, opened up, tired but held all out. Should try again and hold better over a more favorable track.
