Woodbine Mohawk Park: Horses to watch from November 29 - December 3
Thursday, November 29
LARRYS PETROCK (NW3) was second over but lost his best chance when he was forced very wide by a bearing-out pacesetter through the lane. Beaten favorite should get it done with better trip.
SO MUCH BETTER (NW1) wired the field convincingly and should give it another try in next.
MAJO LOU BEKA (CLMHCP15/20000) closed a ton from an impossible spot in latest and earns a long look in next race or two.
MEADOWBRANCH PATSY (NW3FM) yielded for the pocket and was second best at every call and on the board.
Friday, November 30
SHADOW WORLD (NW3FM) sat on the rail to the rear of the pack to the final turn, tipped, searched for room, settled for an inside route with good finish but had much too far to come.
SLIP INTO GLIDE (CLMKHCP12/15000) wired the field easily. Veteran likes to win and will give it another try in next.
BRICKMAN (CLMHCP12/15000) trailed to the lane, rallied wide and closed strong but too late.
JIMMY BE GOOD (CLMLHKCP18/25000) closed gamely to be second best to the well-bet hot as a pistol odds-on favorite.
Saturday, December 1
HEY LIVVY (NW3) wired the field quite easily done and should be hard to catch in next.
DONTBRUISECARRIE (NW7000FM) sat buried, angled out avoiding traffic, closed well but had lost her best chance.
JUSTASMALLTOWNGIRL (NW7000) went down the road and proved second best to the favorite's uncovered bid.
ROCK THIS WAY (NW5000) followed wide from 4th over and closed best of all but had much too far to come.
Monday, December 3
O NARUTAC PERFETTO (NW16500) sat in, rallied willingly up the inside passing a few horses and should not be ignored.
IL SOGNO DREAM (NW11000) beaten favorite was second over in good striking position but was bothered, forced wide, lost momentum and got back in gear a step too late.
SURF REPORT (CLMHCP8/10000) yielded, retook, tired heading home on a night when speed was failing.
WILD AND CRAZY GUY (NW7000) wired the field drawing away through the lane to be the only front stepping winner on the card.
TOUCHDOWN AS (NW3000) broke at the start, recovered to the rear, rallied to the third panel, went wide in the turn, closed well but too late. Beaten favorite can atone with better racing luck.
