Woodbine Mohawk Park: Horses to watch from Nov. 4 - Nov. 8
Thursday, November 4
ELBE (NW2) rushed up uncovered into the lane to gain a good lead but faltered. A better-timed move should get it done.
LUKE AND DUKE (CLMHCP8/10000) was parked to the lead, yielded for the pocket but had trouble finding a path. Beaten favorite can atone with better racing luck.
POCAHONTAS (NW1) roared home the nail the tiring speed and can take another.
DILLY TARYN (NW1FM) tipped the final turn with good finish to nail second to the strong-closing winner.
Friday, November 5
RACING FORTHE MARK (NW4FM) sat in to the lane, angled late to clear traffic and finished willingly passing a few foes.
KAT (NW6100FM) sat in heavy stretch traffic and did not have the chance to fire her best shot.
LADY ROCKNROLLA (NW6100FM) sat pocket in same race and had the same problem in heavily-packed stretch.
ZIG ZAG (NW3000) rushed out to the top, yielded, retook and was much the best.
AWESOME HILL (NW2FM) brushed after the speed settled and was best looking like she had more to give.
Saturday, November 6
KARMA SEELSTER (PRF/HCPFM) sat to the rear, rallied late and bears watching.
SPEAKING OF ART (NW8600) beaten lukewarm favorite sat in heavy traffic through the lane.
VOELZ DELIGHT (3YOF) beaten favorite sat pocket and clear bit too late.
SWEET DEISEL (NW30000) finished wide but ran out of track missing by a neck.
Monday, November 8
SHIP DISTURBER (NW1) rallied all out but could not get to the game pacesetter. Beaten favorite can atone in next.
MACH IMPACT (CLMHCP22/30000) beaten favorite tucked, gapped but rallied late and just missed.
ARTISTIC MEADOW (CLMHCP13/18000FM) sat pocket at nearly 15-1 and proved second best in the photo.
