Woodbine Mohawk Park: Horses to watch from May 9 - May 13

Ken Walters|May 15, 2019

Thursday, May 9

BRONSONS DELIGHT (NW16000) went to the top quickly, set the pace on a huge lead and gave way in the lane. Can get it done if tighter in next.

THE FIRST STEP (NW) finished full of pace and just missed as the well-bet second choice and earns some respect in next.

SUNSHINEATTHEBEACH (NW1FM) pacesetter was second best on the board and at the end as the late-closing favorite got it done.

KINGOFBROKENHEARTS (CLM15000) followed the wide flow into the stretch and was a game second to the favorite.

Friday, May 10

APOTHIC (NW3FM) was third over the final turn, went back to the rail, escaped traffic late and seemed willing.

Y C BROADWAY (NW3) tucked, sat in and closed game in between horses.

P L IDAHO (CLMHCP12/15000) rushed home fast from the back of the pack and just missed.

THE GIRLS OF IMAGE (NW3500FM) went down the road at 18-1 and was outkicked in the last steps.

Saturday, May 11

BETCHA BABY (SBOA/ELIM) finished full of pace from third over and bears watching in next outing.

SUNNY DEE (SBOA/ELIM) tucked early, made a wicked brush as the lead settled, took over and was a game winner.

HAVEONEFORME (SBOA/ELIM) got away cleanly, settled and brushed and jogged looking awesome in the process.

CIRCLE THE PAGE (NW7000FM) was an impressive three-move winner in last and should be tough to beat in next.

CENTURY FARROH (NW3) was parked to the lead, yielded, sat pocket and won going away with a wicked last panel.

Monday, May 13

FAST N FIRST (NW5) tucked early, pulled to the half, brushed to the top, met pressure and was a very game winner and should take another one soon.

GALLANT MAN (NW5) tucked early, pulled, brushed to the top, proved best in solid effort but was taken down for cutting inside some cones the final turn turn.

CUE HALL (NW25000)left well, tucked, pulled as the speed settled, rushed to the top and crushed his foes.

EYES COOL (NW1000) raced third over and closed well to be second best to the favorite.
