GOLDIES ROCKIN (POPUP) beaten favorite left well, tucked, brushed, got nailed on the wire. The track seemed heavy and the front end only scored twice on the evening.
UNCLE DOUGLAS (NW1/3YO) trotter rushed to the lead, opened up a few at over 10-1 but was also nailed late over the tiring track and deserves a look in next.
PLAY THE ACE (POPUP) finished strong and nailed it late. Got claimed and should come out trying for new connections.
DIRTY LIL PIGLET (POPUP) odds-on favorite yielded, got shuffled, brushed and was a game front-end winner. Got claimed and will give it a good try.
BRING YOUR FIRE (POPUP) well-bet second choice left well, yielded to the top one, proved second best in the photo. Also got claimed and should be in the hunt.
RAMBARAN ROSE (POPUP) second choice on the board finished fast from far back but just missed the even-money favorite.
Friday, March 7
LYONS BETTORDAY (PRF/FM )trailed to the third call, rallied with good pace, gained cover late in the final turn, rallied gamely to be third. Do not ignore in next race or two.
COCO JO JO (NW3FM) was bet off the board and jogged to an easy win. Should take another and hopefully the price will be better.
SAULSBROOK ABBEY (NW4000FM) finished full of pace from third over at odds of 16-1 to just miss the well-bet second choice pacesetter on a night when speed was holding.
SMILES FOR MILES (CLM20000) had poor cover but hit stride in the lane to be second best and earns a look in next.
ROCKY J (NW1) left and was parked, challenged all the way and dug in despite tiring. Should be luckier in next.
Saturday, March 8
ALABAMA HANNAH (NW14000FM) yielded, retook set a good clip meeting last-quarter pressure, shook off the challenge but was nailed by the tripped-out pocket sitting winner.
BETTORSEETHESHOW (NW15000) moved in the final turn, rallied and went wide, finished full of pace to nail it in last steps.
TJ LANDON (POPUP) yielded twice, sat pocket and was game to hold second in leg one action.
MR MAGIC (NW2800) was out a long way, challenged to the lane before tiring.
BEE TWO BEE (NW215000) charged home from a distant third over and ran out of track in latest.
SOUTHSIDE EDDY (NW8500) sat last, rallied fast and passed numerous foes and should get a picture taken soon.
Monday, March 10
FOREFATHER (CLMHCP12/16000) sat last to the final turn, went wide with strong finish and bears watching.
HESTONATOR (CL ROCK AND TWIST (NW4000) chased the leader, tucked the pocket passing the third call, rallied all out and gamed out second place at over 30-1. LETS GET ROCKED (CLMHCP18/24000) came home fast to win going away. Got claimed again and should be charging late again. MACALLAN (POPUP) was bet off the board, took the lead, yielded, retook and wired the field in quickest of the POPUPs on the card.
