Thursday, March 5
BOTTLE OF RED (NW1FM) filly left to the top, yielded, retook, yielded again and sat pocket in game second-place finish.
BEYOND BETTER (NW1) closed strong from second over to win in first effort.
HETTIES COMMANR (NW3000) finished wide and full of trot but had too far to come.
TRIDENT SEELSTER (CLMHCP15/18000) was buried to the stretch, looked for a lane, ducked in, took up for a step or two, cleared again and closed gamely but too late.
Friday, March 6
SUNDAY AFTERNOON (NW1000FM) was outkicked to the lead, sat pocket and was shuffled out in a couple of lead changes, came back late but had lost her chance.
LAURAS LOVE (NW2FM) sat last to the lane, slipped wide, found the gas pedal and roared home to win going away.
BELFAST N (NW1000FM) brushed strong to the lead passing the half but tired. A better-timed move like that could spell victory.
MISTER MAGIC (NW3000) grinded up to the lead, set a good clip over the tiring track and got nailed in the last steps.
Saturday, March 7
MEEAS DREAM (NW3) wired the field in handy fashion wrapped up through the lane and may take another.
BLAZING TRAIL (NW5) closed with a late rush from third over but it was too much to ask.
POINTS NORTH (NW16000) was parked to the lead, rolled along and drew off leaving more for next time.
BORN OF FIRE (NW5800) took a tuck but not for long, came uncovered at 15-1, rallied to the leader and was a game 2nd to the end.
HP NAPOLEON (NW5800) sat to the lane, tipped, angled wide to clear finishing well but had a bit too far to come.
Monday, March 9
VICTORY INVICTUS (NW1) left well, tucked, ran into traffic in the lane, angled clear with strong finish to just miss.
JEWELS DRAGON (CD) rushed to the top, set a very pressed pace, dug in gamely while tiring and could not hold off the relentless rally of the fast-closing winner.
WHAT A RUSH (NW16000) sat buried to the final turn, slipped out, went wide and finished best of all but had far to come.
ON THE ROPES (PRF) ranged up uncovered and kept coming through the lane but could not get there chasing the odds-on favorite.
