CHICKABELL (NW2500FM) beaten favorite was bothered in turn one, sat three-holed, cleared inside heading home but could not get the well-bet pacesetting second favorite. Deserves a look in next and could get it done. WEARING THE GREEN (NW2) wired the field and was a handy winner and would be no surprise winning again. CORPORATE BUSINESS (NW1) left well to the lead, yielded, got shuffled, tipped the final turn, went wide, closed with good pace and could get luckier in next. TRINIDAD (NW2) went off at 20-1, went to the lead, set a pressed pace and held to the end before getting nipped on the wire. Monday, March 31 VERACRUZE (NW3) trotter left well, got shuffled to the three-hole, slipped out heading home, angled wide with strong rally to be second best. MACALLAN (POPUP) yielded, retook and was much the best. B STONEY (CLMHCP30/40000) speedy wire to wire winner got claimed and should be the one to beat. SOUTHWIND DOMINO (NW4000) yielded, retook and was an impressive winner. Trotter should find another win or two.
