Thursday, March 20

DG HOLE SHAMOLIE (NW1FM) well-bet second choice got away slowly and was bothered early. Made a solid uncovered move from the half, gained cover from the favorite and outkicked her through the lane and can take another.

MODELO GOLD (NW1) was third over behind a gapper and finished well to be second best and would be no surprise in next.

PAHOKEE (NW1) finished full of trot along the rail at 48-1 to be second to the prohibitive favorite and should not be ignored.

TACTICAL SEELSTER (CLM20000) closed well but was outkicked by the late-closing winner but earns a look in next race or two.

BIG BULLY (CLMHCP8/11000) veteran yielded twice and made a third move to challenge the favored leader. Could not get to him but gamed out second in brave 3-move effort.

Friday, March 21

ONE LAST BET (NW2800FM) flashed some strong late pace from far back to be second best to the odds-on winner and should not be ignored.

POWDER PLAY (NW8000FM) second choice on the board challenged the short-priced favorite and was second best in what amounted to a 2-horse race in last.

ROLLEX (NW1) showed some good late pace between horses through the lane and bears watching.

SUPERIOR DELIGHT (NW2FM) front-stepping well-bet favorite was a handy winner putting away a token bid by the pocket sitting second favorite.

Saturday, March 22

BROOKDALE JOHNNY (POPUP) was buried on the rail into the lane, rallied between horses through stretch traffic, looked for and found room with good but too-late finish.

GYPSY JOE (NW2) moved early, rallied and had to go wide to clear traffic, chased to the lane before folding and could get luckier in next race or two.

REGIL BUBB (NW3) beaten favorite sat to the rear, finished full of pace from 4th over to run out of track. Could atone with better trip.

VINO LOUIE (POPUP) sat far back, rallied late passing a slew of foes and should not be ignored.

ROCKABILLY REBEL N (NW8750) yielded, got shuffled, sat in, got clearance too late to fire his best shot.
