Thursday, March 16

ARTISTIC PICK (CLM7000) tucked to the quarter, sat pocket and got caught in traffic through the lane. Beaten favorite should atone in next outing.

ELECTRA LONG LEGS (NW1) was third over and flashed some good late speed.

CLEVELAND MASSIMO (CLM35000) sat last at nearly 50-1, followed wide, passed all but the odds-on winner.

MONI ELLEN (NW1FM) sat in the pocket and got stuck in stretch traffic having to take up when a path closed.

Friday, March 17

SOURTHWIND CAESAR (NW2000) trotter got shuffled on the rail in the final turn, angled out, finished well too late. Do not ignore in next race or two.

E L CITADEL (NW1850FM) was quick to the top, yielded and was shuffled. Got stuck in stretch traffic and got up for second once free.

IMA STANDUP GUY (NW4000) sat pocket at 11-1 second best at every call to the pacesetting odds-on favorite.

BAD EYE BILL (CLMHCP15/18000) came uncovered and won going away. Would be no surprise if he took another.

Saturday, March 18

HUNTED HOUSE (W2-4) yielded twice, sat pocket, cleared in the last steps and just missed.

SPEAKER OF PEACE (NW15000) was second over into the lane, got forced wide as cover drifted badly and was outkicked. Beaten favorite should be given another look.

COMMANDING OFFICER (HOLLAND) was third over behind a gapper, rallied wide at 38-1 to get for second to the winning favorite.

WRY (NW1) was third over and hit best stride too late. Do not ignore.

Monday, March 20

TOKYO SEELSTER (NW21000) trotter was at the rear, exploded through the lane and was second at the wire.

VIPER (CLMHCP17/22000) was off slow, rallied the final turn followed wide and closed fast to just miss. Beaten favorite was claimed and should not be ignored.

HAMMER TIME (NW8000) was parked, gained cover to the half, finished gamely while tiring to get up for second.

P L JACKSON (COND) was nailed late in wire to wire effort on a night when speed was failing. Beaten favorite can atone over a more favorable track.
