Woodbine Mohawk Park: Horses to watch from Mar. 17 - Mar. 21

Ken Walters|Mar 24, 2022

Thursday, March 17

PETER POOLE (CLM17500) tucked early, brushed to the hald and was an inpressive winner.

TEXACO MAN (NW38000) rallied in the final turn, picked up the pocket sitting favorite's cover, rallied gamely but was a bit short at the wire.

CODYS KNAPSACK (NW1) youngster got off at the rear, rallied to the final turn, went wide, dug in gamely despite drifting very wide and might be tighter in next.

GOODGOLLYMISSMOLLY (NW2) set her own clip and was an impressive front-stepping winner under some rousing reminders in the lane.

Friday, March 18

MAYHEM LIKE ME (CLM17500) late-closing favorite nailed it on the wire from far back and can take another with better trip.

BROKEN (NW3FM) yielded, retook at 18-1, put away the odds-on favorite but was nailed late by the late-closing second favorite.

SHES NUN BETTOR (NW9000FM) posted a :26 last panel but it was a head short at the end.

KAYS DELIGHT (NW44000FM) yeilded twice and rallied a third time but was nailed by a fast-closing 12-1 shot.

Saturday, March 19

BELIEVE IN BRIAN (CLMHCP22/30000) left to turn one, sat three-holed, rallied second over to the winner but flattened just enough at 18-1. Do not ignore.

QUAN BLUE CHIP (CLMHCP22/30000) finished full pace from third over and should try again in next.

RIVER DALI (POPUP) yielded, retook and got nailed on the wire.

REAL WILLEY and SOMETIME SOMEWHERE (NW22000) dueled to the in race-long battle on the front end and either can score in next.

Monday, March 21

MUSCLE FASHION (NW13000) put in a solid uncovered effort at 11-1 and was nailed in the last steps.

HERVEY HANOVER (NW3000) was used hard in front-stepping try from the outside and tired. Will give it a another go soon.

ONEY HALL (PRF) left well, set the pace under early pressure from the favorite, put him in the pocket and was a handy winner.

BANKROLL SEELSTER (NW2) left to the lead, yielded for the pocket at over 20-1, pulled the last panel, challenged the pacesetting favorite but was second best.
