TORONTO (POPUP) challenged the front-stepping odds-on favorite and was a head short at 28-1.
DARBYSHIRE (OntSS) left, settled for the early 3-hole, brushed when the speed settled rolled along strongly to win easily leaving plenty for next time out.
HERVEY HANOVER (POPUP) tucked to the quarter, pulled past the half, raced uncovered at 23-1 to be second best to the front-stepping odds-on winner on a night when speed ruled.
ARIZONA (NW8000FM) trailed, rallied wide, late and fast to win going away at over 18-1 and could take another.

MYSTIC WILD ROSE (3YOF) closed well from third over to be second best to the pacesetting favorite.
MIST AMBER (3YOF) brushed to the lead to the half, set a good clip and was a handy winner.
MIDNIGHT NOTION (NW2) tucked early, came uncovered to the third panel, challenged the prohibitive favorite and was second best in good effort.
WARRAWEE VITAL (FFA) wired the field easily in latest and should take another.

FOREFATHER (NW1500) took the top, yielded and was shuffled, finished with good pace to get up for 3rd and bears watching.
