Woodbine Mohawk Park: Horses to watch from June 14 - June 19

Ken Walters|Jun 21, 2018

Thursday, June 14

ARUKIDINME CABBIE (NW1) broke at the start, sat at the rear, moved to the third panel 4th over, finished best of all and earns a look next race or two.

GALARY GIRL (OntS) met presssure the last quarter and tired getting rough at the end. Should score a few wins here and there.

MISS MIMI (NW1) was parked to the lead, battled with the prohibitive's favorite's long uncovered challenge and proved second best.

PEPE DI JESOLO (CLMHCP12/15000) left, took the top, yielded, sat pocket, rallied when ready and rolled by for impressive score.

Friday, June 15

TIKI TAKA (NW3) seemed content watching the race from the rear but showed some stretch speed once asked and should not be ignored.

NEON MOON (OntS) went down the road in good effort at nearly 8-1 but was nailed on the wire. Can get it done if a bit tighter.

RUBIS PRESCOTT (NW15000FM) slipped out of traffic congestion too late to get it but finished with solid pace.

VEYRON (NW3) went along on the front end on an open lead but could not last.

Saturday, June 16

LONDON SEELSTER (NW5) tipped in the final turn, angled clear, rallied gamely and had cleared steps too late.

TALBOT ROMEO (BW3) left, tucked, brushed, set a good clip on an open lead, tired and got nipped on the wire.

DREAMFAIR B J (NW10500) beaten favorite made a long move to the lead, set a good clip and could not last to huge rally of second favorite.

MACHAL JORDAN (NW10500) left, tucked, sat in, got a bad shuffle, cleared and closed well.

Monday, June 18

APHRO STAR (CLMHCP12/15000) seemed buried heading home, found room, hit the accelerator and closed a ton to win going away.

BROCKS FORTUNE (CD PACE) found room late seeking a path through heavy traffic and was more than willing.

MONEY MISSION (CLMHCP20/25000) trotter left, tucked, came uncovered at 18-1, challenged the pacesetting favorite but was second best from the 10-hole.

HEAD TURNING JAC (NW6000) was bothered a bit at the start but avoided bad trouble, tucked, tipped in the final turn, rallied strong and wide and won going away.

Tuesday, June 19

ROYAL WITCH (NW16500) closed strong from 4th over coming wide through the lane and earns a look in next.

MAGIC NIGHT (NW10000) well bet second choice proved second best in front end effort as the favorite closed strongest from second over.

WHISTYS PARADISE (NW3500FM) finished full of pace allying wide off poor cover in most recent and can get it done with better trip.

CROSS MY MIND (NW1) crushed in wire to wire victory and takes another.
