Friday, July 25
SORCHA SEELSTER (NW18500FM) trailed to the lane, hit stride late and passed a bunch of foes to be third at the end and deserves a look in next race or two.
BRITTAS BEST BET (3YOF) finished full of pace form the back of the pack at 39-1 and would be no shocker in next race or two.
SWEET LOVIN LOU (DREAMMAKER) sat, pulled and motored up quickly going to the third call and won going away.
CRAZY TRAIN (NW1/2YO) brushed when the speed settled and was a speedy front end winner in last.
MY CRYSTALINE (OntSS) left, challenged, took back on the rim, gained cover, moved again but was forced wide by a breaker, cleared, continued second over but tired. Very eventful trip and she could get luckier in near future.
Saturday, July 26
LANESIDE INCONTROL (NW3FM) left to the lead, yielded to the favorite, sat pocket, rallied gamely but was second best at the end in good effort.
SET SHOT (OPN/3YO) left and was parked, stepped it up as the speed settled and took the lead well past the quarter, set a good clip, put away the last quarter challenger but was unable to hod off the tripped out pocket sitting favorite. Earned a look in next race or two.
COCO JO JO (NW9000FM) well-bet second choice was second over to dying cover, rallied wide the final turn, kept coming but was second best to the front-stepping favorite.
BLUE HUNT (NW15000) tucked early, pulled nearing the third call at nearly 12-1, challenged while escorting his favored stablemate and was outkicked in good effort and could get his photo in next.
CAPTAIN HURLEY (NW3) saved, looked form room in the lane, found a narrow path late and gained some ground but too late. Beaten favorite would be no surprise.
BATTERUP HANOVER (NW9000) sat to the rear at over 60-1, flashed some strong late pace to be second best in eye-opening effort and bears watching.
Monday, July 28
OSCEOLA (PRF) was one of only two wire to wire winners over a tiring track and should be the one to catch in next.
COVER BAND (NW3) tucked early, sat in, tipped wide, rallied gamely and just missed at over 50-1. Do not ignore.
DIRTY LIL PIGLET (CLMHCP30/40000) was parked a long way, set a very pressed pace, dug in to the last step in dead-game effort and can take next with any kind of racing luck.
BOLD SPIRIT (NW3000) pulled to the third call, challenged and won going away and should be the one to fear facing better in next.
MISTER MAGIC (NW3000) yielded, retook and held well to earn the first of only two front-stepping wins on the card.
