Thursday, July 20
EBONY LADY (NW1FM) was parked a long way to the lead but never looked back and will be hard to catch with same effort.
VANJIE BLUE CHIP (PURE IVORY) made a bold brush to the lead passing the half, met the favorite's pressure the last panel, held her off but was nailed by the tripped-out pocket horse.
CONNOR (NW1) trotter finished with a flourish from nowhere but it was too much to ask. May get luckier in next.
DELCREST BRENT (NW2) got away slowly, slipped out wide from last into the lane and blew by all but the winner.
Friday, July 21
COCO JO JO (OntSS) just missed in huge rally from the back of the pack in last effort.
MIRAGE HANOVER (OntSS) took the lead passing the quarter and drew off the last panel to win easily in latest.
SWEET AMIRA (NW14000FM) sat last, rallied fast and ran out of track. Beaten favorite can atone with better trip.
MINETT (NW5000/2YO) took the lead in :27 2/5 opening panel, yielded to the favorite, rallied gamely with a :27 2/5 last panel but was second best on the board and on the track.
Saturday, July 22
RESPECT OUR FLAG (NW9400) was off slowly, raced third over to the third panel and finished late. Should be able to find a winning move in next race or two.
HP MOMENTUM (NW15650) finished the last quarter in :25 4/5 and should not be ignored.
WHATCHULOOKIN AT (OntSS) rushed up fast from nowhere going to the third call, challenged the favorite, wore him down but suffered his own consequences. That move is a winner if timed better.
FABRIZIO N (NW9400) yielded twice, sat pocket, rallied gamely to be second best in three-horse photo.
Monday, July 24
EDEN OMTHEHILL (W2-4) trotter finished fast from third over to be second best in credible effort and bears watching.
PIRATE HANOVER (NW4000) showed no life until the stretch sitting last but charged home with dynamic finish and would be no surprise.
PEMBERTON (NW14000) tucked, pulled to the third panel, rushed up, challenged and roared home in going-away triumph.
STORMONT HAPPY DAY (GRASSROOTS) was parked, tucked passing the quarter, pulled into the lane with strong finish but ran out of track.
Tuesday, July 25
OCCASIONALLY SHARP (OntSS) was bothered at the start by sloppy starter next to her, settled into a tuck, rallied uncovered and gamed out 2nd place to the pacesetting favorite.
GRANDEUR SEELSTER (OntSS) yielded and was shuffled, improved to the pocket into the lane but was lacking room and never fired her best shot.
UNCONTROLLED (OntSS) was third over and rallied with good pace to earn a look in next.
WICKED WEATHER (NW5000/2YOF) brushed early to command and won impressively.
