?q=100)
Thursday, January 16
D A MAGIC MIKE (POPUP) was parked a long way, gained the lead and rolled away.
HOBNOB HANOVER (NW1) trotter followed the winner's cover and was 2nd best at nearly 16-1.
OH A LEGEND (BLIZZARD) followed cover, continued to the top as the lead changed and was a handy winner in first-leg action.
K J OWEN (CLM8000) beaten favorite was second over to poor cover but closed well, got claimed and should not be ignored.
BELVEDERE KATHY (NWW1) left, tucked sat pocket, challenged the last quarter but was second best to the pacesetting favorite.
Friday, January 17
STEELWHEEL (POPUP) wired the field QED in his division of 1st leg action.
C KAN TROT (NW2) mare left well, tucked, came uncovered and was game second to the late-closing lukewarm favorite.
HURRIKANE CHEYENNE (CLM20/25000) sat pocket and rolled by the leader and paced away from the field in jogging romp.
A CLASS YANKEE (SNOWSHOE) second choice left, tucked, rallied the last quarter and just missed from late second-over rush in fastest of two divsions.
GRAVITATIONAL (POPUP) left fast to the lead, yielded, retook and that was that in 2nd of division of 1st leg action.
Saturday, January 18
SMOKIN HOT SCOTT (NW1/3YO) beaten favorite drifted wide from third over and came up short to the front-stepping winner. Should get that corrected by next outing.
BLUE PACIFIC (NW25000FM) wired the field over a tough track in good time and will be the one to beat in next.
Monday, January 20
PALLADIUM HANOVER (COND) finished strongest but had much too far to come even on a night when late closers were getting their pictures taken.
DOUBLE DOWN DUKE (CLMHCP18/24000) saved, rallied mildly. Veteran was claimed and could surprise for new connections.
PIKACHU HANOVER (NW8000) met last turn pressure and could not last on a night when none lasted. Beaten favorite would be no surprise over a more favorable track.
PATRIARCH HANOVER (NW14500) finished gamely from third over but was nailed in the last step.
MISTER MAGIC (NW2500) wired all but the pocket-sitting winner on a bad night for speed.
ZIG ZAG (NW4000) had cover, went wide, challenged as cover took the lead, gained control but tired and was nailed on the wire. Should atone soon.
