Woodbine Mohawk Park: Horses to watch from February 25 - March 1

Ken Walters|Mar 04, 2021

Thursday, February 25

LYONS LIBERTY (NW2) closed strong from second over in quick time over a tiring track.
MAKE IT COME TRUE (NW2) trailed to the lane, wheeled wide with big finish and earns a long look in next.
PRINT MEDIA (CLMHCP15/20000) left to the top, yielded, sat pocket and was a game second best on the track and on the board with the rest far back.
ALWAYS N THE MONEY (CLMHCP8/10000) came uncovered, closed strongly to win going away. Got claimed and should give it another try.

Friday, February 26

FERN HILL BELLA (CLMHCP8/12000FM) tucked to the quarter, pulled to the third panel, rallied to the lead into the lane but was nailed late. Beaten favorite was claimed and should get another look in next.
SWIFT ALLY (MW13800FM) tucked to the quarter, pulled to the three quarters, challenged and held gamely but was nipped by the tripped-out pocket-sitting winner.
NECTAR (NW2FM) finished with strong pace gobbling up foes through the lane missing it all by just over a length.
SHESWILDNFREE (NW3) settled into an early tuck but pulled and brushed, met pressure but was more than enough. Well bet winning favorite can take another.

Saturday, February 27

ROCKME ROLLME (NW16000) tipped to the third panel with a strong move, went to the leader and won with authority.
BEE TWO BEE (NW5) hit stride late from third over and earns a look in next.
WHEELS ON FIRE (NW30000) wired the field under pressure and proved game to the end to be the only wire to wire winner on the card and could be tough again.
SWEET HEAVEN (NW22000FM) was buried on the rail, looked everywhere through the stretch for a clear lane and angled out much too late. Do not ignore in next.

Monday, March 1

MARLBANK ROAD (NW1) left well, yielded and was shuffled, sat to the lane, looked between horses and found his a path a step or two late.
TRIP SEVENS (NW1) was parked the mile, gained covered, rallied strong to win going away and could be hard to beat in next.
MUSICAL RHYTHM (NW18000) was second best to the even-money favorite and earns a long look.
AINT SHE PERFECT (NW1FM) sat to the lane, angled out to clear traffic and never had her best shot but should not be overlooked.
