Woodbine Mohawk Park: Horses to watch from December 17 - December 21

Ken Walters|Dec 23, 2020

Thursday, December 17

LIVIN LARGE (CLM15000) piulled to the half, lost the winner's cover, chased but was second best in solid effort.
SHESWILDNFREE (NW2) left and tucked for the early pocket, settled, pulled to the top and waved goodbye in romping victory.
LEADER TONIGHT (CLMHCP10/12000) challenged a long way basically from the start to the lane but tired from the monumental effort. Got claimed and the beaten favorite can have better luck in next.
RJS INVICTUS (NW2) was buried into the lane, looked in and between, angled out late and earns a look in next.

Friday, December 18

TRIX AND STONES (NW5000) followed wide into the lane, finished best of all but had too far to come.
MAGIC NIGHT (NW3000) set the pace at 10-1 under pressure the last half and dug in but got nailed by what looked like a 747 coming out of the sky.
BEAUTY BAYAMA (NW2FM) was pocket-sitting second best to the prohibitive wire to wire winner.
BORN A DRAGON (NW13500FM) beaten favorite rushed home from the back of the pack to just miss. She gets it done with a better trip.

Saturday, December 19

ROYAL RENEGADE (NW11000) trailed to the lane, went wide into the lane from 4th over with rousing finish but was only second best.
BIG BULLY (NW3) finished gamely in between horses at 20-1 but the winner had gotten away.
ROSE RUN VICTORY (NIAGARA) won going away in uncovered romp in 2nd leg action.
SO MUCH MORE (PRF/FM) beaten favorite roared home but ran out of track in latest.

Monday, December 21

MOGOLIAN HERO N (NW30000) sat at the rear in short field, wheeled wide into the lane, closed strongest but had far to come.
HAYEK (NW6) went to the top, yielded, retook, set a pressed pace and proved second best to the odds-on favorite.
AMERICAN HUSTLE (NW3000) was best in wire to wire score and may take another.
SIDE HILL COUGAR (CLM8000) left to the top, yielded and was shuffled, rallied late but just missed.
