Thursday, December 28

NORTHERN SPY (CLMHCP8/9000) closed fast and won going away. Got claimed and should be the one to fear for new connections.

PASS THE DREAM (CKN20/30000FM) finished full of pace to just missed the prohibitive winning favorite and bears watching.

DOC HOUSTON (CLM20000) got away well, sat an early 3-hole, brushed to the lead when the speed settled and was a quick-timed winner over the wet track despite drifting late. Do not ignore the time, the track and the open lengths.

HILLBILLY JET (CLMHCP10/12000FM) tucked early, came uncovered the final turn, made up good ground but flattened out finishing 3rd in the 3-horse photo. Has been knocking on the door and gets one more chance. .

Friday, December 29

COOL CLIFFORD (NW2000) left well, yielded and was shuffled, made a long move to the lead, set a pressed pace and tired while holding for second.

WILDCAT STAR (NW10975FM) was third over with good finish between horses and bears watching.

BAR DOWN JIM (NW1) was parked to the lead, set a steady clip and held on own in good time over a wet track and can take another.

TELLS ON A ROLL (ORF/FM) 3YO tipped in the final turn and closed well to earn her second-place money to the odds-on winning veteran mare.

THE TURNING POINT (NW4000FM) took the lead, yielded, sat pocket and cleared late. Would be no surprise in next.

Saturday, December 30

P L OCTAVIUS (NW5100) sat last, rallied fast but too late.

BACK TO THE FUTURE (NW2/2-3YO) flashed some strong late pace from third over and just missed the tripped-out favorite.

SHREDDAR (NW2) pulled to the half, brushed and 'shredded' his foes in open-length romp.

POINTS NORTH (NW16000) was out early, grinded away on the rim, challenged to the third panel and drew away when asked in impressive romp.

Monday, January 1

CRYSTAL BALLER (W2-5) went to the lead, yielded for the pocket, got stuck as the speed folded, cleared late and closed strong to nail it. Can take another and cannot be overlooked.

ALL WRAPPED UP (NW8000) had poor cover, went wide, got stuck deep as the favorite pulled the pocket, rallied gamely and won going away.

MATCH MEIF YOU CAN (W2-5) left to the lead, yielded for the pocket, cleared late but finished willingly. Maybe next time.

ISITFRIDAYYET (CLMHCP14/18000) tucked and sat to the final turn, slid out, angled wide and closed well to earn some respect in next outing.
