Woodbine Mohawk Park: Horses to watch from August 4 - August 9

Thursday, August 4
DANCE NUMBER (2YOF) well-bet second choice tucked, tipped, brushed, yielded, pulled and went back to the lead, proved second best to fresher odds-on favorite's late rally. Three moves always deserve a long look in next.
ILBENEEDINSTITCHES (NW2) well-bet second choice was parked to the lead and faced long pressure from a parked-out uncovered conceivably 'suicidal' 50-1 challenger and tired. Better luck next time?
MR FRITTER (NW3) longshot trotter tipped the final turn with cover and exploded home. Won't be 18-1 in next but may get another trip to the winner's circle.
LUKES BAR (MILLARD) made it look easy in wrapped-up score in the final. Should find some more wins.
WARRAWEE YES (IVORY) sat to the rear, rallied wide but too late and gobbled up all but the winner at over 30-1.
Friday, August 5
MAGIC WANDA (POPUP) left, tucked, cleared between horses in the late stages with good finish and should not be ignored.
TIP TOP CAT (2YO) beaten favorite was used to the lead, set a pressed pace, tired, dug in but was nailed by the 'filthy' late rush of the longshot winner.
RIDINLIKEYASTOLEIT (NW2) took the top at over 6-1 as the third choice, yielded, sat a good pocket to the speedy fractions, tipped in the final turn, rallied gamely but was nailed by late rush of the winning favorite.
ANDY OVER (POPUP) showed some solid late trot rallying up for second but was too late.
BETTER SING IT (NW1FM) sat in the pocket and cleared too late to launch best bid and can get it done in next.
Saturday, August 6
NIGHTLIFE SEELSTER (NW2700FM) second favorite was in the pocket but in traffic to the late stages.
PETIPOU (3YO) finished well coming wide to clear tiring cover at 17-1 and bears watching.
TWIN B TIPSTER (NW7700FM) sat to the rear at 20-1, rallied wide and late to be second best to the favorite.
THATLL BE SPORTY (NW11000) trailed at 28-1, finished full of pace and passed many foes.
JIM STRIKESITRICH (CLM15000) beaten favorite was parked 3rd over throughout and gamed out a second place finish.
Monday, August 8
BEACON SEELSTER (POPUP) had traffic until the late stages and finished well once clear.
HP MAMA B (NW24500) winning favorite yielded, retook and crushed her foes.
ASHLEES DELIGHT (POPUP) sat pocket, got caught in as the speed tired but had pace once clear.
SAFE CONDUCT (OntSS) tucked to the quarter, pulled to the half, challenged, wore down the speed but was outfinished by the tripped-out second-over favorite.
Tuesday, August 9
ROUGH TUFF TESTED (OntSS) was on the rail, young and green, ran up and broke, settled and was bothered, raced second over and tired.
HORIZONTAL (2YOF) was a handy wire to wire winner from post 10 and should be given a long look in next.
BUSTING WITH PRIDE (OntSS) was out a long way grinding to the lead but was much the best in impressive effort.
RESOLVING (3YOF) tucked early, pulled uncovered to the third panel and was a strong winner.
KAMERAN HANOVER (NW5600) tucked early, tipped in the final turn, went wide and closed stoutly.
