Thursday, August 29
NORTHERN ROYALE (NW2) tucked to the quarter, tipped in the final turn, rallied strongest and game and just missed.
FRISKY BEAVER (NW2FM) saved to the lane, searched and rallied gamely between horses but had too far to come.
ROCKNROLLS SHADOW (NW6500/2YO) closed gamely from second over at 12-1 and bears watching.
BLACK JACK PAT (NW3500FM) wired the field handily as the prohibitive favorite and will be hard to beat.
Friday, August 30
SWAN BEFORE ALL (NW3) went to the top, yielded, got shuffled, tipped the three hole in the final turn and finished strong to be second best at nearly 8-1.
SANDBETWEENURTOES (NW25000FM) finished strong from second-over at 32-1 and bears watching.
WELL ELL (NW3/2YOU) trailed to the half, moved up on the rim and was third over into the lane finishing with solid pace missing just by a head at 26-1.
YOUAREMYCANDYGIRL (PRFFM) tipped to the third panel, went to the lead with strong strides and rolled by posting a vicious :25 3/5 last panel.
Saturday, August 31
AMERICAN VIRGIN (NW185000) finished full of pace but was outkicked by the fast-footed closing effort of the winner. Maybe next time?
PHYSICALLYINCLINED (NW31000) wired the field and was a handy winner. Will be looking to take another.
REIS STAR CROSS (NW11000FM) closed well from third over chaseing the pacesetting favorite but was second best.
TALL DARK STRANGER (OntSS) was parked biding his time, rushed up and cruised by to the lead as the speed settled and that was that.
Monday, September 2
FAST N FIRST (GRASSROOTS) was parked to the top, put away a challenger by the lane and was a handy winner.
ODDS ON AMETHYST (NW6300) raced second-over to poor cover and rallied gamely.
SO NOT COOL (NW6300) was 4th over, rallied strong but had far to come.
BALDER SON (GRASSROOTS) was far back 4th over and closed best between horses and bears watching in next.
Tuesday, September 3
LOVEDBYTHEMASSES (OntSS) was parked a long way in a determined bid for the lead and proved much the best.
ENDURING STRENGTH (GRASSROOTS) tucked the pocket and was second best every step of the way to the odds-on favorite.
LONE WOLF TERROR (CLMHCP18/25000) rushed home in quick quarter from the back of the pack in last and made up a huge amount of ground.
NAGLE (NW2) came uncovered and was a game second at 15-1 in most recent.
