Thursday, August 21

ELBOWS UP (2YOF) left fast, took the lead, yielded to the well-bet favorite and was second best at every call in speedy mile.

TRIX UP MY SLEEVE (NW1) closed well but was nailed late in good effort and deserves a look.

M E LAUREL (2YOF) was parked to the lead, yielded, sat pocket to the final turn, pulled, challenged, wore down the speed but was second best to the late second-over rally of the prohibitive favorite in last effort.

VALIDUS (NW1) charged home to just miss the tiring pacesetter. Well-bet second choice had far to come and could get a better trip.

Friday, August 22

LAVENDER SEELSTER (NW1/2YOF) brushed past the quarter, took the lead and was a handy and speedy winner in last.

ANNIES DIVA and HORSE WITH A PLAN (NW1/2YOF) put in a good battle for second to the top one and both should do well in the coming days.

ABSOLUTION (NW9000FM) finished full of pace at 15-1 to just miss in last and should get it soon in next race or two.

AETOS KRONOS S (MAPLE LEAF) veteran was parked a long way to the lead and rolled along at a wicked clip to win his elimination in a track and Canadian record mile in the first under 1:50 recorded in Canada.

COCO JO JO (PRF/FM) challenged the last quarter, gutted out second in the photo as the tripped-out pocket sitting winner nailed her.

ILLICIT BEHAVIOR (2YO/CG) as the speed settled, beaten favorite pulled and brushed, opened up by five but tired and got nailed by the late rush of the flying second choice. Similar move wins most races.

Saturday, August 23

ALLSTAR MANIAC (W3-7) beaten favorite was third over into the lane, got in tight and locked wheels with a foe. Never had a chance to fire his best shot.

CAPTAIN HURLEY (W3-7) was in traffic through the lane, darted here and there, in and out and seemed like he wanted to make a stronger move. Do not ignore this one.

BEAU JANGLES (NASSAGAWEYA) brushed early and was an easy winner as the betting indicated he would be. Two-year-old has won five straight.

MYULTIMATE SNOWY A (NW6000) was bothered early, rallied strong, got forced wide as the odds-on favorite pulled the pocket but finished well-bet second best after the very eventful trip.

BOLD SPIRIT (POPUP) tucked passing the quarter, pulled near the half, challenged the pace of his winning stablemate to the lane and weakened. Might be his turn in next?

BACKKUP PLAN (NW2) well-bet second choice tucked at the quarter, pulled second over and closed in :26 to be second to the odds-on winning pacesetting favorite.

Monday, August 25

P L RAINBOW DASH (NW6000) beaten favorite got away last from post 8, sat to the final turn, rallied wide, fast but too late.

J M OOH LALA (NW1/2YOF) had poor cover but finished full of pace to get second to the odds-on front-stepping favorite.

FLIRTY DANCER (POPUP) well-bet second choice pulled to the third call, challenged the pacesetting favorite and rolled by easily in convincing score.

ULTRA MYLES (NW2) saved to the lane, wiggled through traffic, angled free, closed late and earns a good look in next.

Tuesday, August 26

INTUIT BIG (3YO) second choice on the board, he left to the lead, yielded and was shuffled, tipped heading home, drifted but rallied gamely to just missed the all-out favorite.

BETTERDEALMEIN (OntSS) took the lead at 12-1, yielded to the odds-on favorite, could not find room in the stretch and could get luckier in next.

ARTILLERY SEELSTER (NW1/2YO) pulled to the third call, rallied, carried wide as the pocket horse started to pull, settled and rallied gamely but had lost his 'mo' in the turn.

PICK A GENRE (POPUP) took the top, yielded for the pocket, tipped passing third call and blew by to win the final by nearly nine lengths.

ALLSTAR CORDS (2YO) took the top, yielded, pulled to the third call, cruised by crushing foes by over 10 lengths.

BADEN BADEN (3YOF) was in heavy traffic through the stretch, found late clearance, closed willingly but had escaped a moment too late.
