Thursday, August 17
PASSIONATE PRINCE (POPUP) had terrible slow-moving cover, rallied wide early and closed well but had too far to come.
EMOJI HANOVER (NW1/2YOF) had post 10 yet was the betting favorite. Sat to the rear, rallied late with a strong finish between horses and got up for second.
CAPTAIN LUKE (NW1/2YO) well-bet second choice went to the lead and set the pace only to get nailed by the pocket-sitting favorite.
THREE SOMEWHERE (POPUP) drew off easily in wire to wire romp.
Friday, August 18
SOUTHWIND CAESAR (NW2000) was fourth over heading home and finished with good trot to nail 3rd place easily.
MOMENTARILY (COND/FM) made a big move to rush up and challenged but faltered. Gets one more chance to time that move better.
CRYSTAL BALLER (NW2) was parked to the lead but that was his only struggle as he was a handy wire to wire winner.
CRUISE HANOVER (NW16740) finished full of pace with late rush between horses to win going away.
WESTERN WISH (NW16000FM) was parked the mile, grinded up and was third over to the third quarter, flattened a bit but still had life.
Saturday, August 19
FUNTIME BAYAMA (OntSS) wired the field in easy fashion and should be hard to catch in next.
CADILLAC BAYAMA (NW28500) sat pocket and rallied gamely but was second best to the pace-setting favorite on a night when the front end was holding strong.
AMAZING CATCH (WELLWOOD) beaten favorite was at the rear half the race, rallied up, went around stalled cover and closed with trot.
NO FREE LUNCH (NW8300) roared home from third over to win going away and should give it another try in next.
Monday, August 21
STONEBRIDGE HALO (NW1/2YOF) pulled past the half, brushed to the lead and was an impressive winner.
INTERNATIONAL MAN (W2-4) beaten favorite finished full of trot from the back of the pack and might atone with better trip.
STONEBRIDGE BOMBER (W2-4) was parked the mile, grinded up, loomed in the final turn before running out of gas at 86-1 and should get a better trip soon.
BETTOR NOTBITTER (CLMHCP12/16000) was parked to the lead, set a pressed pace and held well to earn the win in front-stepping effort over a tiring track.
Tuesday, August 22
SORCHA SEELSTER (NW1/2-3F) 2YO finished strongest from an impossible spot and bears watching.
GAINES HANOVER (W4-6) trotter started slow and finished fast. Beaten favorite should be considered in next.
NZURI (NW1/2YO) brushed to the top going to the half and that was that in handy score.
GAMING QUEEN (NW1/2YOF) rallied uncovered at over 50-1, challenged the pacesetting odds-on favorite, wore her down but was nailed by the late closers.
DOLLAR MAKER (NW1/2YOF) showed no interest to the final turn, tipped out, finished full of trot to get up for second at over 30-1.
