Thursday, August 1
EXPLOSIVE JET (CLMHCP12/15000) brushed coming to the half, took an open lead but got nailed. Same move wins a few races here and there. Do not ignore.
INTENSE JUSTIVE (PURE IVORY) well-bet second choice tucked early, brushed to the top, yielded to the odds-on favorite and was second best in game effort in first-leg action.
CHAMPAGNE JANE (OntS) was parked to the top, set a pressed pace and held gamely in impressive effort and will score again.
MAJOR BATTLE (NW7000/2YOF) came wide from the clouds and closed stoutly to earn second best.

Friday, August 2
COQUI COQUI (2YOF) tucked early, came uncovered, had trouble in the final turn but rallied gamely once straightened for home and earns a look in next.
A ROYAL LINE (OntS) left, tucked at 15-1, had traffic in the lane, found room and finished well but had lost his best shot.
SOUTHWIND FROST (NW2FM) yielded, retook, battled, looked beaten but refused to go away and finished a very game second to the favorite in stretch battle.
BEST IN SHOW (OntSS) tucked into the first turn, sat three-holed, rallied gamely inside and could get luckier in next.
ALEXIS FAITH (NW15000FM) tucked early, got stuck behind a dead one passing the third panel, rallied around traffic, ducked in and finished strong to just miss.

Saturday, August 3
ROYAL RENEGADE (NW22000) was parked to the lead, faced pressure the last quarter and ended up second best in the photo at 9-1.
AMERICAN VIRGIN (NW7500) was out a long way, challenged the pace to the lane, tired but dug in gamely.
EASY LOVER HANOVER (PRF) cleared late with strong finish and just missed.
DRACHAN HANOVER (NW3000) put in a good down the road effort from post 10 to prove second best to the closing second-over winner and deserves another look.

Monday, August 5
KAMERAN HANOVER (NW10500) took the top, yielded, sat pocket but got a bit of a shuffle in the last turn battle up front, rallied when clear but the winner had taken off.
TALL DARK STRANGER (DREAMMAKER) was parked to the lead, set the pace and was best with solid last panel.
CAPTAIN KIRK (DREAMMAKER) was saddled with post 12, managed to clear early crowd, raced second over to slow-moving cover but closed well to earn a look in next especially with a better post.
ACES ROCK (OntS) left fast, took the top, yielded, got shuffled, improved back to the pocket in the final turn and closed well at 44-1 chasing the pacesetting prohibitive favorite home.

Tuesday, August 6
NORTHERN SULTAN (OntSS) was out a long way, had cover, tipped wide, rallied and loomed in the late stages but broke. Should be luckier in next race or two.
TYMAL TAROT (OntSS) finished full of trot fron the back and did not miss by all that much. Do not ignore.
MISSION BAY (OntS) pace up a storm through the lane coming out of the clouds.
AWSOMEDABRA (GRASSROOTS) made a huge move to the lead, faced last-quarter pressure and tired. Same move better timed is a winner.
