(7) BEACH BAR has faced some of the best sophomore pacing fillies on the continent recently and she should appreciate this drop in class; top call. (5) MARY GOODNIGHT showed some late zip last time and she should be sharper for this returning quicker; using. (4) AMBERS SHADOW was beaten by a razor-sharp mare last time. Off that good effort, I’ll use her in this Pick 5. (3) WINDSONG PARISIAN is capable but this is no easy spot and coming off a sick scratch I’ll use her underneath.
Race 2 – F&M NW $6,100 L5 or $17,700 or NW 5 LT AE: OPT CLM $15,000
(3) WINDSONGMAGNIFIQUE produced a good late rally for Christoforou last time and he returns to drive here. She gets my nod. (9) P L HURRICANE drops again, and you know McClure is sending her. She may be the one to catch. (7) FOLLOWTHEWIND N won in a similar class three starts back but this field is tougher. She can win, but she likely needs some racing luck. (4) ALWAYS A ROSE is hot right now, but this is a big step up; for the bottom of Tris and Supers only.
Race 3 – NW $6,900 L5 or $14,600 L10 AE: OPT CLM $20,000
(1) HOCKEY HANOVER jogged last time he raced this low. Expect more of the same here. (6) UNDERCOVER STRIKE is in great form currently and he could add some value to the exotics here. (4) HENEIKEN SEELSTER is capable of better if he can avoid a shuffle this time; using underneath. (5) VESUVIO BI steps up after beating weaker. I see him as a fringe player here.
Race 4 – F&M 4YO and Younger NW2 or $25,000 LT- **$50K GTD Pick 4**
(3) ALLY ELIZABETH looked good winning last week; call to repeat. (6) KEYSTONE KALIMBA faces some elders here but I’m not sure she’s in any tougher. I’ll use her on multi-race tickets. (7) WANNASHAKEYOURTREE was flying late last time. She’s worth a look, but, driver Waples has been ice cold recently. (5) ERIKAS SHADOW can pass a few of these late to take a share.
Race 5 – NW3 (F&M6) or $54,000 LT
(2) BLONDE MAGIC faced some tough ones in her past couple of starts and she is a better fit here; top call. (9) PRESTO CHANGE O gets away from open stakes company which should make her a contender in this spot. (7) CASCADA hinted at improving form last time and he’s another in with a shot in a wide-open contest. (4) GRACEFUL has raced well here before and she ships in from Kentucky in decent form; consider for Tris and Supers.
Race 6 – ONTARIO SIRES STAKES – GOLD 3YO Colts and Geldings
(1) CENTURY FARROH has been king of the Ontario Sires Stakes castle all summer long and there’s no reason to expect him to get beat here leaving from the rail. (3) STAG PARTY has been racing better and he could give the choice a race here. (2) BRONX SEELSTER should contend starting from the inside; using underneath. (7) A BETTOR BEACH is another who should contend for a minor award in this spot.
Race 7 – F&M NW $15,000 L5 or $28,000 L10 AE: NW 5 or $110,000 LT – Pick 4
(3) SO MUCH MORE has been good all year and while facing elders here is no easy task, she should be up to it. (1) WITCH DALI is in good form right now and she should get a nice trip here; using. (2) ARTISTIC MADISON is in the mix every race, but I prefer to use her underneath in this spot. (10) MANHATTAN AGAIN would be rated higher from a better post. From out there, I’ll use her underneath.
Race 8 – NW $3,400 L5 or NW $7,600 L10
(2) MR CONTESTANT drops to a likely spot here and Filion should get aggressive early with him; top call. (1) SETTE DEO exits a fast mile and she can be closer here, especially if she leaves hard for position. (7) SETANTA is the other class-dropper in the field. Henry might send him in this spot, and he can be dangerous if he gets a spot near the front at the start. (6) MUSICAL SPELL is in solid form and he should be along again for a share.
Race 9 – F&M NW $30,000 L5 or $175,000 LT AE: 3YO Fillies of NW1 in 2019
(1) WINDSUN GLORY drops and she projects to get a good trip racing on or near the lead here; slight nod. (5) SHOWER PLAY has yet to get untracked this year but if she can produce another 25 2/5 kicker here, she may be hard to fend off. (6) SANDBETWEENURTOES is in solid form but these are tougher. I’ll use her underneath. (3) POWERFUL CHRIS is between stakes engagements here so she will likely be looking to trip out; small share predicted.
Race 10 – F&M NW $3,100 L5 or $7,100 L10
This is a spot where (1) FRANSCHOEK will likely look to control the race on the front end and she could prove hard to beat in this spot. (2) THRILLONTHEBEACH had a brutal trip the other night at Flamboro. She can be an Exacta factor here with a better trip. (6) NAUGHTY LADY B should be passing many of these in the back 1/2; for a share. (9) OUR VACATION is capable on her best day but from this post I’ll use her in the 3-4-5- slots. (7) SPRINGBRIDGE SASSY will be closing as usual and she can land in the High-5 ticket here.
