(3) PARISIAN BLUE CHIP overpowered some overmatched foes as expected last week, but she fits well here too despite moving up and she gets the call to repeat. (5) WINDSONGMAGNIFIQUE was too far back when it counted last week. She can contend here if she gets a better trip. (9) CATCH AN ACE drops again and is worth a look despite her outer post. (1) REIS STAR CROSS is in good form, but she just can’t to seem to get her nose on the wore first. I’ll use her underneath here.
Race 2 – F&M NW $15,000 L5 OR NW $30,000 L10 STARTS. AE: NW $110,000 LT or OPT CLM $35,000
(6) HELLO LOVE moves from the worst post to one of the best here and she gets to drop in class. She should be tough vs. these. (1) P L HURRICANE also gets class relief and she should wake up in this spot and produce a better effort. (7) BETTER BE DONNA N had her win streak broken last time and she figures to come on late for another share here. (2) MANHATTAN AGAIN dropped, popped, now she moves up again. I’ll use her on the bottom of Tris and Supers here.
Race 3 – CLM HDCP $12,000 to $15,000
(8) ASA ONAMISSION raced large when claimed and he could be a good price here starting from the outside. I’ll take him to knock off (6) VERO AMORE BI who keeps winning despite looking like he could blow up in spots during his races. (2) EXPLOSIVE JET earns a good living finishing 2nd through 5th and that scenario seems likely to play out for her again here. (7) A J DESTINY is racing decently for McClure and he isn’t impossible in this spot.
Race 4 – F&M NW $6,000 L5 or NW $14,600 L10 AE: OPT CLM $15,000 – **GTD $50K Pick 4**
(6) FOLLOWTHEWIND N had some kick at the end of her mile last week and she drops a level here. I’ll give her the nod over (5) ROYALTYWESTHO who is stuck on one win but figures on current form. (1) TWENTY THREE RED was 2nd behind a huge chalk last week who figures to be a major player in race 1. I’ll use this mare on multi-race tickets. (2) DRAGON LADY ART should be closing for another slice.
Race 5 – NW $3,000 L6 or $7,000 (F&M $10,600) L10
(5) MIAMI may get overbet off his 2 3/4-length defeat to the classy O Narutac Perfetto here Monday night but coming back quickly in this lower class has to mean a Roy speed blast is coming. He could prove tough to catch. (6) ALEXUS EH hasn’t made the Super in her past four starts but check out the fifth start back where she took a new life’s best racing at this class level. (1) SETTE DEO and (8) MUSICAL SPELL both are capable of making it onto the Super ticket at this level.
Race 6 – F&M NW $3,200 L5 or NW $8,500 L9
(7) UNDEFIABLE raced tough last time and fell just short. I’ll give her the nod here in a race with several possibilities. (3) SHADOW WORLD drops and keeps driver McClure; using. (1) OUTLAW IMAHOTVIXEN is another who is dropping to the bottom conditioned level who is in with a shot in this contentious dash. (4) MILDRIX closed well without threatening in her local debut. She should improve and she’s the fourth mare that I’ll use in this Pick 4.
Race 7 – Casual Breeze – Three Year Old Fillies
(1) WHEN DOVESCRY was dominant winning the Hambletonian Oaks and she should have no trouble with these, but her price will be very short. (8) SPECIAL HONOR has been improving weekly it seems and just took her first win of the year in the Zweig Consolation. She could add some value to the exotics here. (6) ONLY TAKE CASH has a terrific record and has never missed the board. That streak should continue here. (9) HP TITANIA RUNNER has raced well this year and she could land in the bottom of the Super at a price here.
Race 8 – F&M Preferred
(2) KISSIN IN THE SAND took her first win of the year last week despite having broken equipment and while this is a tougher field, she can double up here. (5) DOUBLE A MINT shoots for five in a row and she has shown that she can do it on the engine or rallying late. She’s too sharp to ignore. (4) SHOWER PLAY comes out of the fastest race ever paced by a mare and she’s not out of this. (7) KENDALL SEELSTER looks best of the rest and she can perhaps rally for a small slice.
Race 9 – Casual Breeze Three-Year-Old Fillies
This race should come down to the 1-2 finishers in the Zweig, and of that duo I’ll side with (6) THE ICE DUTCHESS who seems to hold a tactical advantage. (4) EVIDENT BEAUTY should provide a challenge to the choice and I’ll use both in this late Pick 4. (5) SONNET GRACE gets Gingras back here and she should be good for a share. (8) TEDDYS LITTLEANGEL is hot right now and she should be in the mix here despite taking on open stakes company.
Race 10 – NW3 (F&M5) or $47,000 LT
(9) FINALLY FOUND AWAY goes for three straight in this class and while this looks like a tougher spot, he could be up to it. (4) FINGALS WAVE was only four lengths back of this year’s Hambletonian winner in his last start and he will rightfully take action here. (7) NEW PLYMOUTH hints at improvement and is a good one to use in the Tri and Super at a price. (1) HEY JOCK rarely misses the board and while I’m not sure the inside post is best for him, he should be coming late. (10) OKEANOS is an obvious fit vs. these but his trip could be impossible starting from out there. I’ll use him in the 3-4-5 slots only.
