Race 1 – F&M 4YO and Younger NW $20,500 LT - $50K GTD Pick 5
(9) SAINT ALBRAY ships in off a sharp sophomore debut win down south and if she gets decent position early here, she should be hard to beat. (4) PREMIER CABERNET raced against a winner who came back and took an OSS Gold pot in sparkling time while beating a big chalk. Don’t underestimate this filly here. (6) BLACKCHEDDAR is right there every race and she merits inclusion on Tri and Super tickets here. (8) D GS FAIRYSTARS closed to pass some rivals racing from an impossible spot in London. She can be a factor.
Race 2 – CLM Hdcp $18K-$28K
This race has the makings of a speed brawl despite there being only six entrants and if that should play out, (3) JIMMY BE GOOD is the most likely beneficiary so he gets the nod. (1) OH K MAN drops, and he too should benefit if the expected battling for the front materializes. (6) ROYAL RENEGADE has been on fire since shipping in from B.C., but he could face some stiff opposition for the front here and get softened up. (2) RACEMUP is another who may want the front early. Tactics are likely to decide the outcome of this race.
Race 3 – ARMBRO FLIGHT STAKES Elimination
(1) ATLANTA showed no rust last week despite missing close to a month. She should be very tough to beat here. (5) P L JILL has been racing against the top older males here for a while and holding her own. She can provide some exacta value here. (2) PLUNGE BLUE CHIP is exceptionally talented and she may be worth a bet in the Final of this race. Tab her for next week. (6) PAT MATTERS has a great record and she may sneak onto the Tri or Super ticket here.
Race 4 – F&M 4YO and Younger NW 2 or $25K LT - $50K GTD Pick 4
(5) ABUELITA HANOVER gets a much better post and she has a start under her belt. Expect aggression here. (6) AUMYDARLIN steps up off a solid grinding win and she should be tough right back. (2) TEQUILA PARTY exits a quick dash. She should go better here; using. (4) MORNING HAS BROKEN is in a much better spot here than the 6-hole in London in a stakes final. She should share, at least.
Race 5 - Goodtimes Stakes Elimination
(4) FORBIDDEN TRADE had a perfect tightener for this in his 2019 debut in an OSS Gold event at Flamboro; call to upset. (3) SWANDRE THE GIANT came out swinging at Hoosier Park and he will be odds-on here and the one to catch. (10) SUPER SCHISSEL had a good year at two, has obvious talent and can add value to the exotics here from post 10. (9) ONLY FOR JUSTICE stole a pedestrian opening 1/2 when beating the choice. This is a tougher chore; small share predicted.
Race 6 - Armbro Flight Stakes Elimination
(1) EMOTICON HANOVER just wins, and, in this spot, she could offer value as an overlay with (2) HANNELORE HANOVER and others in the field. The latter had what might be considered an "off" year - for her - in 2019 and she still earned more than $400K. She can never be discounted. (8) MANCHEGO trotted her own back 1/2 in 54 1/5 in her 2019 debut and she could upset here if she gets put into the race. (3) ICE ATTRACTION is another that should go better here; using underneath.
Race 7 – F&M NW$6,300 L5
(4) FRANSCHOEK goes to the Gallucci barn here and on that angle, I'll give her the nod in a wide-open race. (5) DRAGON LADY ART was third to a couple of tough ones last time and she rates highly here. (6) WINDSONGMAGNIFIQUE paced a 27 2/5 second quarter last time which likely contributed to her late fade. She can do better if she can work out a good trip. (10) XELENE BAYAMA has done great things in Team Cullen's barn, but now she steps up and moves to the worst post; small share predicted.
Race 8 - Goodtimes Stakes Elimination – Pick 4
(5) SOUTHWIND AVENGER has gone two big trips in both of his wins this year and while he will need to be faster here, he may be up to it; top call. (6) PILOT DISCRETION comes in razor-sharp with a perfect record. He's hard to leave off the Late Pick 4 ticket. (9) KINGS COUNTY showed enough speed and talent at two to be a threat here - even from the worst post. (2) OKEANOS is a local hope who should work himself onto the Super ticket.
Race 9 – F&M NW $28K L5
(3) JUST HER LUCK jogged last time she raced in a similar class. I think history repeats here. (2) COUSIN MARY has been racing tough for weeks. If she could ever sit a pocket trip, look out. (1) KLOOF STREET moves up off a nice win but I'll use her underneath only in this spot. (6) MAKE MINE MOCHA is in solid form and she should hang around for another slice in this spot.
Race 10 - 5YO and Younger NW3 or $50K LT - Can Am Pick 4 Leg 1
(8) SUGARTOWN was in an impossible spot at the 1/2 last time and he still paced his back half in 53 3/5 with a 26-flat kicker to get close. if he is in range here, he should win. (3) THE FIRST STEP raced tough vs. a strong winner and he can be a big threat here. (5) BATTLE STRONG is in solid form and if gets any kind of a breather here he can be tough on the lead. (7) CARSONS SHADOW is in a much better spot here. Look for him late.
Race 11 – F&M NW $11K L5 or $20K L10 - Can Am Pick 4 Leg 3
(7) MACHNHOPE took a new life's mark when she beat similar last time; call to repeat. (8) BUTTERMILK HANOVER should find this level to her liking and she is in with an upset chance. (10) KIWI FOCUS is in top form and she can share here despite moving up. (1) CIRCLE THE PAGE is worth a look for the exotics taking a slight class drop. (2) TAKEYOURBREATHAWAY is always passing horses and she can take a share here.
