Race 1
(3) ALPHA SEELSTER only needs to stay on stride this time to have a big shot vs. this group. (1) SIGN HERE N HERE is coming back around and he looks like the main threat in this spot. (2) WIKI HANOVER was better last week, but he enjoyed a breather up front and couldn't stay. I'll use him on the bottom again here. (8) KUIL DEVA continues to make a good living taking slices in this class. Expect more of the same here.
Race 2
(4) LDL GEM looks like the controlling speed again in this short filed; call to repeat. (6) PROTECT BLUE CHIP gets the benefit of a much smaller field here and she should get put into action earlier; the main threat. (5) LEAVING A LEGACY rallied for 2nd behind the choice last week. I'll use her underneath again in this spot. (2) YNOTHOS can follow to the lane and emerge to take a small share.
Race 3
(8) SEVERUS HANOVER has hit his peak form and he's a big threat to wire these and double up. (7) EXPLOSIVE JET had little to offer last time when claimed. Perhaps trainer Shepherd will move him up. (5) HELLO CHIPPER is in solid form now and he should get position early and hang around for a share. (6) SVENSSON is capable but coming off two breaks in a row. Getting a clean line should be his priority here.
Race 4
(6) JET TO THE BEACH qualified faster than most of her rivals race and moving into Fellows barn is significant; top call. (7) FINA PATINA showed some good energy late in her mile last week and she should be better here. Adding Roy won't hurt either; using. (9) STARGAZING CRUISER is worth a look at a price here following a failed first-up try. (2) DAZZLING ROCKETTE gets post relief and she can slide into Tri or Super contention late.
Race 5
(5) OUTLAW IMAHOTVIXEN seems to be looking at a good setup for her late charge here and I look for her to roll by late. (2) MS CHEESMAN slid up the inside late to win after enjoying a nice trip last week. She should be a big threat to repeat. (7) AZURE SEELSTER was picked off late, but she remains a viable speed treat here. (4) EXHILARATED is another early speed type who may help set things up for the choice.
Race 6
(3) GALLANT MAN failed as a big chalk last week when moved first-up at the 3/8 pole. I imagine a more aggressive drive here and a better result. (8) IF I MUST had a rare miscue at the start last week, but his form was solid before that mistake; using. (4) HOPES SOLO took her life's mark here last year and she can be a big threat if she gets left alone up front. (5) JUST MAYBE THE ONE has a good late kick most nights and he can close for a small share here.
Race 7
(2) SKATER CHICK had a nice comeback effort. She gets a better post here and is my call to take a win. (6) CRISP MANE gets a notable driver switch and she could offer some Pick 4 value here. (9) COSETTE's sharp early speed puts her right in the picture in this spot. (3) ONLY ONE STAR is capable with a trip, but a smaller share seems likely.
Race 8
(3) MARQUIS VOLO is likely to go off chalk again in this spot, but he should be sharper now and he'll prove tough to beat if he gets put into the race. (6) BLAMEITONTHEWHISKY is sharp and in form; appears to be the main danger. (9) MONTALBANO BI's effort Monday night wasn't bad and he should be able to get position early; using underneath. (7) TOUCHDOWN AS is developing a closing style for driver Cullen who is becoming a very good pilot with those types; consider for exotics.
Race 9
(2) BR EZILIKSNDYMORNIN drops into a claimer for the first time and this doesn't look like a tough spot; top call. (6) HERCULE JM has been decent in two Mohawk Park starts and he should be prominent in this field. (5) HOWMAC DIAMOND can last longer in this spot where he could go unchallenged for a good part of the mile; using. (1) GOLDINTHEBADLANDS figures to take another small share in this spot.
Race 10
(5) JUST HER LUCK got hung out forever by the very sharp winner last week, but this is a much easier assignment and she should be tough here. (1) P L HURRICANE is in great form and she could get a golden pocket trip here; using. (2) MACHNHOPE fits this class well and she's the third mare that I'll use in the kickoff leg to the Can Am Pick 4. (3) THIS DRAGON ROCKS was good last week but these are tougher; another small share is predicted for her.
Race 11
(3) MANHATTAN NIGHT returns to action in a good spot and her rapid last 1/4 stands out from her April 11th qualifier. She gets the nod. (4) JESSICAS LEGACY returned in good form and she can be a big threat here with a bit of racing luck. (1) LIPLOCK can use her good early speed to get position then stick around at a price. (2) MACHATRITA makes a living out of taking slices. Expect more of the same here. (9) FRISKY BEAVER would be rated higher if she drew better but she can pass some of these and take a share.
