Race 1
(6) WINDSONG OLYMPIA appears to have changed hands following her sharp win last week and she looks good to repeat here. (7) SHE CAN PARTY will no doubt take action dropping into a claimer for the first time and it wouldn't be surprising to see her both claimed and sent hard off the gate; using. (3) FADE AWAY dropped in for a tag at London and she passed them all in the final 1/4 to win which you don't see very often there. She commands respect off that effort. (2) DONTCHASE JUSTPACE is coming around for the McNairs and she can get a piece of this.
Race 2
(8) D GS SHADOWBELL elected to stay in last week and that move didn't work out so well. From an outer post, she can find a helmet to follow here. I'll stick with her. (7) MISS ROCKADALI bounced back in a big way and she's the one to catch and beat here, too. (3) ONLY ONE STAR dug in late to get up and she could get a decent setup here again; using. (2) LADY GRANDE should improve moving inside and making her second start for trainer Puddy.
Race 3
(8) SLIP INTO GLIDE drops back to the claimed level and aggression should be coming here. He gets the nod over (7) THE POWER OF MANY who returned to form last week and should be tough right back. (1) DOMITIAN HALL produced a good late kick for McNair and he quite often pops with horses the second time he drives them; beware. (6) AVUNCULAR has been sharing with regularity and he should take a piece of this purse.
Race 4
There are several class droppers to choose from in a race with virtually no form. I'm going to stab with (8) SOS BAMBIE who may wake up and explode the tote board here. Last time she won, she paid $87. (3) FOR THE RECORD raced better last time, now she appears to face easier. She is worth using here. (1) ON THE MINUTE MARK and (2) ROLL WITH SPARKY are two more class droppers that merit a close look for multi-race bets.
Race 5
(3) ROYALTYWESTHO was in an impossible spot trying to pass rivals in a 55 2/5 back 1/2 last week. This is a better spot and McNair will likely send her for position off the gate; top call. (2) VINES TO HEAVEN steps up off a tremendous closing effort and she's on my Pick 4 and Pick 5 tickets. (4) TOBINS TERROR finishes third a lot on this track; use underneath. (5) THIS DRAGON ROCKS should be closing for at least a small share vs. these.
Race 6
(5) REQUEST FOR PAROLE rarely gets bet, but she comes to play every week and I'll land on her here hoping for an overlay. (4) DARLINONTHEBEACH obviously has the class and speed to beat these when she is on her game, but with only five starts this year and 15 starts in 2017, it's hard to know what you'll get here. (6) SANDBETWEENURTOES steps up off an easy win vs. lesser, but she can compete with these. (3) EXHILARATED didn't get the trip she needed last week, and she may not here either; smaller share predicted.
Race 7
(4) HANKS TANK took some action and closed well in his local debut last week. He will likely get bet here, but he can prove best if handled more aggressively. (7) TOUCHDOWN AS makes his third start in this class in a week and he was bet off the board twice to no avail; he can compete if he stays flat this time. (2) BLAMEITONTHEWHISKY will likely set the pace again. A couple of times a year he keeps going; your call. (1) POWER MOVE can leave, sit a trip and hang around to round out the Tri or Super here.
Race 8
(9) THINK AGAIN took a new season's mark from this post last week and if he can clear before the 1/2, he may be long gone again. (8) BRICKMAN drops back to the level where he excels, and he should be the main threat to the choice. (7) LAUTNER SEELSTER steps up a notch here but his form is good, and he could upset if the race falls apart late. (5) TOMITTA BAYAMA merits a look for the exotics coming off a strong effort from the 10-hole.
Race 9
The only way (8) DOUBLE A MINT gets in this race is by having only five wins and although I'm not crazy about the time she's missed, she seems to simply outclass this group and she gets the nod. (4) OBVIOUS BLUE CHIP hasn't had the greatest campaign, but she's fast and classy when she's on her game; using. (1) SUDDEN PASSING woke up with the driver switch back to white-hot Roy and she will be playing catch-me-if-you-can again, no doubt. (2) BETTIM JACKIE is very consistent and she should get a piece here; use underneath.
Race 10
When will (9) A BOY NAMED SUUZZ next lose? Who knows. On paper, he handles this group to extend his winning streak. (4) FACE OF WAR gets off the rail after closing with a big kick last week. He is a viable alternative to the choice. (8) MR MACH JIMMY will be closing for a slice again here. (3) DEVILS PEAK closed well vs. a very sharp winner last time. He can get on the ticket here. (7) JIMMY BE GOOD rarely wins, but he almost never misses the top five, either; use underneath.
