Race 1
(7) DONATO LANE has been on fire in the Vanderkemp barn and he looks like a short-priced single in this Pick 5. (1) DRAFT YEAR was second to the choice two starts back and is the most likely beneficiary should that one blow up. (4) POUND STERLING is honest and consistent, and he should appear somewhere in the Tri again here. (5) EMBOLDEN can use another following trip to take a purse share here.
Race 2
(5) BARN ONE adds Lasix and moves inside a few slots following a dull effort and he should bounce back here. (6) SHADOW OF LINDY projects to get a nice trip on or near the lead and he's dangerous here. (1) OSIRIS BLUE CHIP doesn't win often, but he was a narrow loser to the choice three starts back and in this short field he could pop. (4) CAPTAIN DRAGON takes a lot of slices and he should make the board here off what will likely be a following trip.
Race 3
(4) BEE IN CHARGE had an okay comeback race vs. better at Flamboro and he has plenty enough class for these if he is close to right; slight nod in a tough race. (7) REVENUE AGENT fits this class well and he'll be looking to wire it most likely; using. (6) PEPE DI JESOLO should wake up with a drop into a claimer but I'm not sure it will be enough to threaten for the win; using underneath. (3) DOMITIAN HALL was doing well enough out of town that he should be a factor here, at least for a slice.
Race 4
(10) JORDIES HOPE is a rare 10-horse that I'll take on top in a race where she ships in and moves into a live barn and will likely be a price. (8) CHICKIE LOVE should be dangerous here using her good early speed; using. (7) NORTHERN LAUREN has some sneaky form coming in from Flamboro and it's not like Auciello has never popped with one like this at a price. She's on my multi-race tickets. (2) NASTY RUMOUR is a good one to use on the bottom of the Super starting from the inside where she can work out a following trip near the front.
Race 5
(9) WINDSONGMAGNIFIQUE was inexplicably kept in the entire mile last week and while she seemed to have no punch in the lane, the race was pretty much decided at that point. Moving outside her price climbs and I'll stick with her. (5) ARTISTIC MADISON does her best work in the winter and she can take this if she can find a helmet to follow this time. (1) CENALTA CALL GIRL is in great form and she gets last year's leading driver here; using. (6) QUITE A SIGHT was decent in her comeback race and she should contend here despite facing tougher.
Race 6
(4) ONLY ONE STAR won in this class three starts back when held in reserve until the lane and McClure will likely look to trip her out here; top call. (5) ODDS ON STEPHANIE was used up early last time on a wet track. She can bounce back here getting post relief. (3) PROTECT BLUE CHIP is worth a look exiting the Niagara series where she wasn't disgraced. (1) SHES ON A ROLL is an interesting shipper from out west but I'll give her one and tab her for next week.
Race 7
(4) MACHNHOPE has been sharp for several weeks and she drops back to the class where she won two starts back; slight nod. (2) OBVIOUS BLUE CHIP also drops out of the top class and she could take this from start-to-finish if left alone early. (6) LAY LADY LAY is usually right there at this class and she's another for Pick 4 consideration here. (7) THE JOY LUCK CLUB is on a roll lately and she's beat Preferred mares here before, so class isn't an issue for her.
Race 8
(8) ON THE SLY drops and gets teamster Roy. A much more aggressive try is likely here. (7) HETTIES COMMANDER lit up the board racing in this class in November and he could be a similar price here. I'll toss him in the late Pick 4. (3) PRESQUILLE has uncorked some nice late rallies on this track on occasion and he's another bomb to consider for the exotics. (6) BLAMEITONTHEWHISKY can leave, sit and stick around for a share vs. this group.
Race 9
(4) WINDSONG OLYMPIA was a powerful winner in this class two starts back and this doesn't look like a tough spot; top call. (1) COSETTE also drops a level and she looks like the only real danger. (6) CLASSIC BLACKJACK should go better here but she needs to be wary of positioning, pace and trip. (2) STONEBRIDGE LOYAL hasn't missed the board yet, but she'll need to find more speed to compete for more than a small share here.
Race 10
(9) REIS STAR CROSS was too far out of position last time to make any impression but she's capable in this class and her price is sure to jump here. I'll stick with her. (2) BETTIM JACKIE is always around the money it seems and from an inside post she should be a threat here. (1) VINES TO HEAVEN gets a notable driver upgrade here while exiting a stakes series. She could pop with a trip. (5) ART ANGEL BABY drops, and she should be heard from here, but she is always more likely to take a slice than a win it seems. (10) NOMATTERWHEN is on a roll, but from out there she is likely best used underneath vs. this group.
